Cozy lodge, with garden & decking area, above Loch Eck in Argyll Forest Park.

Ash lodge is a wood cabin of traditional appearance but with modern comforts (including free WiFi) in a woodland setting. Unusually, Ash has a private garden, much of which is not overlooked. Nestled above gorgeous Loch Eck & 200 metres walk to the Whistlefield Inn, Ash is one of a small group of privately-owned cabins. Despite the rural location, there are plenty of things to do & see within a 10 minute drive and the facilities & attractions of Dunoon are just 12 miles South. Loch Eck is a leisurely 10 minute walk. Numerous woodland walks start from the front door. A covered veranda provides shelter from the sun and an open decking area with table & chairs is ideal for eating outdoors.
Wild bird food is provided. Deer & red squirrels can sometimes be seen among the lodges. Seals, porpoises, buzzards, and the occasional otter or osprey are local residents.
Although there is a regular bus service (search West Coast Motors Dunoon), a car makes full exploration of the area easier. There are two parking areas 40 metres from the door.
