An all-time favourite contemporary styled beach log cabin or cottage in top location Gillies Bay on Texada Island! Relax in the tranquility - all you see in front of you is OCEAN and beach, which is near-private!

Full Kitchen with new appliances under 4 yrs, dishwasher, in-unit laundry and 1 Bathroom with Tub/Shower. Sleeps 1-5. Perfect for a couple or family.
Huge deck overlooking the virtually UNOBSTRUCTED gorgeous views.
Adirondack chairs, picnic table, barbecue, umbrella and lawn chairs.
This is a self-contained cottage. We dont live on property, there is only 1 suite - yours!

LOCATION:
The cottage is in the heart of Gillies Bay where the island's best waterfront and facilities are.
Short walk or drive to General Store and Farmer's Market on Sundays and Shelter Point. Also, short distance to community hall, library, as well as a short distance to clinic and tennis courts, hiking trails, 9 hole golf, boat access, airport and a 20 min drive to the ferry terminal.. Experience island life and the beach cottage lifestyle!
LAYOUT
RARE, drive up to your cabin, 2 steps up to deck and cabin. Easy loading/unloading!
Main floor: Living and Dining area, kitchen, bathroom with 1 extra-comfy King sized bed and 1 Queen sized bed on main floor. If your group is bigger, our ladder leads you up to a low ceiling 5' loft (at its peak) which has 2 Twin beds best suited for ages 7 and up. 800sqft total. King sized bed is two XL twin beds combined using King sized sheets, exact same size as a King.
WATERFRONT- Back of property leads to beach below through path and steps to Beach below, please be careful particularly young kids or elderly. Or just stay on the deck! Perfect for summer sunsets and winter storm watching. Steps to the quiet beach below. When you catch low tide during the day, miles and miles of sandy beachfront!!
Wildlife abounds on the island: try spotting seals, dolphins, whales, blue heron, eagles, kingfisher, blue jays, black tail deer

Start the load of towels after putting detergent

We are a family with kids who fell in love with Texada on a short visit.
We love ocean views and this cozy log cabin was the perfect fit! We love that this island has a real sense of community, but also is a perfect getaway from the city and a place for memories to be made. A place for recharging one's senses and where people are real and super friendly! We hope to share this island experience with you.

Unlike a lot of vacation rentals on the island where owners live in it and rent out a portion of their house for income, walls are thin! Well, we dont live on premise, so you have total privacy!
We have a Keurig K-Café Single Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee, Latte and Cappuccino Maker, with Milk Frother and a regular coffee maker. Bring your kcups and milk but regular coffee is provided!
We have a bbq so you can grill all year.
We are super close to the Grocery Store!
