Second time staying at the cabin. Just as expected and we had a great stay. Sean as usual is easy to contact and very responsive to questions. We love the location - so quiet and peaceful but not too far from Craig where we were meeting a guide for fly fishing on the Missouri River. We spent some time exploring the property and taking in the views from above. My dad was sad to see the goat herder down the road has moved on :( (or died?). Also the starlink internet is super appreciated. Thank you!
Met with an old friend to do some fishing. The cabin was as advertised. Great communication with owner and the cabin was as perfect. Would definitely stay there again.
Clean, cute, and cozy cabin in a quiet location. The view of the mountains from this property was amazing! The owners were very accommodating and gave great directions to this forested hideaway.
Great rustic cabin in the hills, all amenities one would need. The listing is accurate so be sure to read details, it is 10 minutes up a dirt road with great privacy and views. The house is "off grid" meaning solar panels and a back up generator, which we didn't need. Sean the owner was very responsive to a few questions we had. Awesome fishing nearby. We would rent it again, a greart value.
I really enjoy the “off the grid” feel of this well built and well appointed cabin
Clean, well stocked, comfortable furniture and everything works as advertised. The 15 - 20 minutes of the main road gets you to a great Montana experience
Thanks for the hospitality Sean hope you allow me to return for more great fishing
Cabin was clean and well appointed. Had all the conveniences of a cabin on the grid. Quiet restful location but too far from town. Directions a bit confusing at the paved road turn off, but we got it figured out.
just want to say that the cabin in montana is well worth the stay, close to great fishing , views from cabin amazing. The place is very clean and the amenities are all you need. stayed there with my family, drifted river and caught many trout. Sean the owner was very helpful before we arrived and during the stay. Do I recommend his cabin yes and give it 5 stars. thank you Sean John from Pa.
The cabin is very cute. It’s a short drive from Craig, and Sean gave great directions. Be sure to bring groceries though because there is no store nearby. There is also a very steep ladder to get up to the top floor. It was no problem for us, but it could be a potential problem for an older person. Overall we had a nice visit.
What an amazing location off the beaten path! Accommodations were wonderful! A cabin retreat that provides everything you need to experience the Montana outdoors and, drumroll….close enough to Gates of the Mountain! Wood stove was more than enough heat and the kitchen was well stocked so you can prepare a great meal! Did I mention Sean was extremely responsive? After we checked out, we had to email Sean thinking we left something behind. Sean was quick to respond and a wonderful host!
My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was a bit of a drive from the frontage road but that just added to the adventure and peacefulness. The road in was in great shape and the neighbors are friendly. The house was clean and organized. We had everything we needed there. The cell service was great when needed, a rarity on the MO. If you feel like exploring the hill in the back yard provided the most amazing sunset. Sean was quick to respond to all communications and provided all the information needed to find the cabin and explain where everything is located. We will definitely stay here again.
This was our 5th year coming here. Sean is great with communication and cabin is peaceful and cozy. Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but just minutes to Craig. Highly recommend.
The cabin was nice although very secluded. We fished the river did not have much luck. Too much moss in the water. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

I have been coming to Craig for 18 years. It has been my dream to own a place in the area and now I finally do. I am an avid fisherman and licensed guide in NY. I am also an artist and Art Teacher. Many of my paintings are from this area and the Missouri River. I love the outdoors and I love this place.
Why they chose this property
This cabin put a smile on my face from the moment I saw it. Built in 2008, it is in excellent shape. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is secluded from the interstate, yet very close to Craig. You are near all the fishing, yet you feel like you are away from it all. There are 20 acres to roam around on and see amazing views of the Big Belt Mountains.
What makes this property unique
Many of the places out here are close to the interstate... When I thought of being here, I thought of being in nature but not so far removed that it was inconvenient to get to where I needed . This is the perfect place for being in a natural Montana setting and close to the fishing. If you like nature, I know you will love this place!
