My wife and I had a great visit to Wandsworth Common. This is an excellent location right next to the park with great walking trails. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and getting to the train station was easy. Jen was a great host that offered many suggestions to make our visit enjoyable. Highly recommended!!
I had a lovely time at Jen's property. It was the perfect place to stay for our 3 nights in London. Though it is a little bit of a journey into the city, there's plenty of transit options nearby to make it convenient and it was actually quite relaxing to escape from some of the hustle and bustle of downtown to set up next to the beautiful Wandsworth Common.
The apartment had all the amenities we needed and Jen was fast to reply with any recommendations or answers we needed—a great host.
It was a good flat. Just a little further from the tube that what we wanted. Jen was awesome with communication and hospitality. We just took ubers all week.
My partner and I stayed at this lovely property in the heart of Wandsworth for three days recently. It was a great base to get into the city and a stones throw from Wimbledon.
Jen’s property was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. She was an amazing host and was great at coming back to us quickly with answers to any questions.
10 out of 10.

I didn’t stay. Bathroom in closet, no wifi, and council block of flats with a dirt yard. Not inviting. Old teal fuzzy couch.
Just not what I am used to. Sorry

We hope this message finds you well. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are pleased that you were able to find alternative accommodation staying with your children/grandchildren while attending the family wedding, and we hope you had a wonderful time together.
We truly value all guest reviews and want to address your comments to provide clarity on your situation, as your review did not align with the positive reviews we've received in the past, including the 5-star review from the guest who stayed a day after you.
Our flat is listed as a studio, with true-to-life professional photos to ensure transparency for our guests. However, we recognize that you did not realise it was a studio, and having abundant space is important for your specific needs. For a studio, we believe it offers a spacious and comfortable atmosphere, complete with a fully equipped bathroom featuring a full-size bath with an overhead shower and complementary toiletries and towels.
We have high-speed, end-to-end fibre connection in place. After your checkout, we thoroughly checked the Wi-Fi, and it was fully operational, allowing for seamless streaming and downloading of films on Netflix. If there were any temporary glitches during your visit, we apologise and we would have been more than willing to promptly assist you had you reached out to us.
As for the furnishings, our flat was built in the 1950s, and we have intentionally sourced original high quality vintage 1950s g-plan oak furniture, as described in the listing. We hoped this vintage charm would add character and warmth to the space while also aligning with our commitment to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact. Additionally, the sofa is a high-quality, modern G-plan piece with retro styling from the 1950s period. We understand that individual tastes vary, and while some guests appreciate this blend of vintage and modern style, we understand that it may not resonate with everyone.
Our flat is surrounded by extensive green lawns with planted beds and mature trees, adjacent to the 70-hectare green space of Wandsworth Common, all while being in the heart of London. The patio area, complete with a wooden table and chairs seating area surrounded by planted bamboo screens, provides a tranquil outdoor space for our guests to enjoy, as depicted in our photos. However, we understand that you may have had different expectations associated with a more built-up urban environment in London.
We aim to ensure that all our guests have an exceptional experience during their stay. We take great pride in maintaining a clean, inviting, and comfortable environment, as reflected in our previous 5-star reviews. While we recognise that our property might not have met your specific preferences, as they were different to the description of the listing, we believe that your review may not entirely capture the quality of our holiday rental.
We sincerely wish you all the best and happiness in your future travels. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Warm regards,
This is our second stay in this property, and we would return again. It is situated very conveniently for various amenities and public transport yet is right on the edge of Wandsworth Common which gives it a pleasant out of town feel
Stayed here for two nights while visiting our son who lives nearby. The apartment totally lived up to our expectations, it was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Very well appointed kitchen and bathroom. bed and bedding both excellent. The free parking is a must for us, and there is an excellent range of excellent bars, restaurants and other facilities on the doorstep.
Jen was a most efficient and conscientious host. We hope to stay here again on a future visit!
It's a great little property ideal for 2 people, well equipped and not too far from public transport. Having a parking space in this part of London is an absolute bonus. The owner was very communicative with many tips and suggestions as to where to go.
This apartment was so comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated that I didn’t want to leave. We stayed one night but I hope to return. The location is excellent as it’s set in beautiful gardens with the park on the doorstep but not far from shops and restaurants . Our host could not have been more welcoming and she answered my many questions very promptly.
The apartment was clean and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable, sheets clean as well as towels. The spices and coffee in the kitchen, as well as the dishwasher, was a nice touch. The wifi was very good. I choose this apartment for the location near the Wandsworth Common where I could do my daily run. Also close to shops and pubs. All communication with the owner very prompt and friendly. I would highly recommend this accommodation. And having a parking permit in London is a huge bonus if needed.
We had a great stay in this nice size Studio flat, Which is right next the Wandsworth Common. Jen the owner was very Friendly and helpful.
Would like to return for another stay
From the beginning, Jen was absolutely amazing (I kept asking her ten million questions) but she was so prompt and helpful. The property itself was super cute. Booked it for a night to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and he absolutely loved it. The kitchen size was my favourite part! Thank you again Jen for being such a lovely host.
We stayed at Jen’s apartment for four nights. It was the perfect location for us, just a five minute walk to our daughter’s. The grounds are beautiful and an added bonus is that it right at Wandsworth Common. A comfortable bed and very well equipped, nothing was forgotten. Can highly recommend this lovely place.
This is such a cute place, truly five stars. I feel lucky to have come across this place. incredibly thought out space, a high standard of finishes, special touches and I highly recommended this flat. The host is a pleasure to communicate with and was very helpful. A great location, there is a bus stop on the doorstep and I had no trouble getting anywhere. Hopefully I will stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Jen
I am a Londoner who enjoys hosting visitors from around the world and am proud to promote her much loved city of London.
I work as a project manager in central London and love to enjoy all the facilities a world city like London can provide. This also makes me great at giving tips and suggestions to help you enjoy your time to the full or locate an oasis of peace and tranquillity.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the extensively planted gardens and the 100 year plus mature trees on the Fitzhugh Grove estate. Located right next to Wandsworth Common is like living in a green oasis in the middle of London. There are great transport links, restaurants, shops, gyms and theatres within walking distance.
What makes this property unique
The estate was built in the 1950s within the gardens of the adjacent Royal Victoria Patriotic Building. The RVP building is awarded grade II* listed status for having a particular special architectural interest. Within the RVP building is a bar and restaurant with a beautiful internal courtyard garden, it's well worth booking a table.
