About this property
Idyllic 2 bedroom stone house in Limousin hamlet 5 minutes from Chateauponsac
Beautifully furnished typical Limousin 2 bedroomed house (sleeps 4) in a peaceful hamlet just 5 minutes from historic Chateauponsac, with its Romanesque Church, bar/restaurant, pizzeria, bakery and supermarket.
The house is just 40 minutes from Limoges airport or 5 to 6 hours drive from the Channel ports.
The house:
Entrance porch, hall, Lounge with wood burner, UK and French TV, radio and CD player. Kitchen with full-size gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. Rear hall with washing machine and downstairs cloakroom.
Kingsize and twin bedrooms, both with electric radiators and a newly fitted shower room with washbasin, wc. and heated towel rail.
From the rear hall, steps lead down to the large west-facing garden with lovely open views of the Limousin countryside - the perfect spot for a relaxing meal with a glass of wine where you can watch the swallows and kites by day and the bats at night !
There is also a barbecue, large table and chairs and parasol.
There is a car port at the front of the property and plenty of space for extra cars at the end of the no-through road.
The Limousin is renowned for its numerous fishing lakes and there are horse-riding facilities in Rancon, 3 miles away.
Picturesque Bellac is 15 minutes away and has plenty of restaurants, shops, weekly market and train station with links to Limoges and Poitiers (onto Paris). https://www.france-voyage.com/tourism/bellac-1266.htm
Lac St Pardoux is 20 minutes away and has 3 supervised beaches, toilets and changing facilities, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, cafes, miles of walking and cycling routes and tree-top trails with zip-wires across the lake ! Kayaks, paddle boards and pedalos can be hired at reasonable rates.
