About this property
Abbey Nest
Entering into the property you are greeted with a light bright hallway with hardwood flooring and exposed beams full of character. A modern bespoke fitted kitchen comes fully equipped for your stay and is complete with a pod coffee machine to kick start your day off.
The living/dining room offers the most wonderful views of Battle Abbey whilst the large original sash window floods the space with light. A comfortable sofa bed, contemporary fireplace and stunning exposed beams would make anyone feel at home here.
A stylish modern fitted shower room completes the ground floor.
Ascending the beautiful turning staircase opens up into a large opulent master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling. The large cosy metal framed bed, with crisp white linens will ensure a great nights sleep. The entire apartment has been tastefully decorated throughout with luxury furnishings, offering all you could need for a wonderful stay in Battle.
Guests will receive all access codes and instructions 48 hours before there arrival.
All of our stays are self check in, however we will send all guests our contact details should they need us during their stay.
Named after the most famous conflict on English soil, this compact market town grew up alongside the battleground, tranquil medieval abbey and surrounding ancient woodlands and is largely unchanged to this day.
At Battle’s beating heart is a bustling mix of independent shops and businesses.
The northern end of the High Street is the Almonry, originally built in 1090, which houses the Battle Museum of Local History. Here you’ll find the world’s oldest Guy Fawkes – or at least his head, which is made of pear wood, and his silk cloak. Thought to be more than 200 years old, he is still in active service and leads the Battle Bonfire Boyes on their fiery procession through the town each November.
At the southern end is Battle Abbey, and behind it the once-bloody battlefield, now a peaceful meadow filled with wild flowers and birdsong. Here you can stand at the very spot where King Harold is said to have died.
Battle train station is about a 15min walk to the apartment
The property is located on Battle High Street and as parking is restricted in this area we recommend using mount street car park which costs £6.40 for 23 hours.
