Terrible communication and disinformation
We specifically chose an apartment with a kitchen to save money, as we couldn’t afford to eat out every day and still enjoy activities on our holiday. Unfortunately, the induction cooktop didn’t work. We contacted GuestReady, and the next morning, they claimed the kitchen wasn’t meant for cooking and that there shouldn’t be an induction cooktop. However, the apartment description clearly stated it was “fully equipped with essential cookware and cutlery needed to cook a delicious meal, including an induction cooker, a toaster, and an oven.”
After some back-and-forth, GuestReady admitted it was an error and offered a 10% refund (€80) or to let us move out with a refund for the remaining days. We declined, as €80 wasn’t enough to cover dining out for the remaining days, let alone compensate for the inconvenience. We asked for a resolution before the end of our holiday, but they insisted on discussing compensation only after check-out. This issue not only affected us financially but also ruined our enjoyment.
GuestReady claims they are available 24/7 to ensure a smooth stay, but our experience was quite the opposite. Responses were slow, and we felt ignored. The apartment was great in terms of location and cleanliness, but the communication and service were severely lacking. Be cautious when booking with this host—if issues arise, don’t expect a timely or cooperative response.
