The view from the top of the world in Mochlos. Two floor house with private swimming pool, 2 bedrooms, upstairs and down. 2 full baths, one with a walk-in shower. Washing machine and dishwasher. Private parking beside the house. Your family will spend happy and comfortable holidays in this spacious house with a fantastic view of the sea and entire countryside around Mochlos.
Vaia Villas is a spacious group of 4 houses are surrounded with flowers, herbs, and natural beauty, and located in a peaceful, clean area with private parking. With a coffee or beer on the shaded front porches, you will enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset, the beautiful reds and purples colouring the cliffs on the opposite side of the bay. Fresh air and sea breezes, and perhaps a walk in the hills, will awaken your appetite for a dinner of fresh fish and locally grown vegetables at one of the village tavernas.
Several beaches, some pebble and some sand, offer places to swim or relax near the village. Special celebrations take place in the village at Easter time and you are welcome to join in. The people are very friendly and the village offers much hospitality all year round. In the fall, olives and grapes are harvested and oil and raki (the local spirit) is made.

Très agréable séjour dans un village pittoresque!
Nous avons séjourné à Mochlos, chez Eleanor, Villa Halcyon, pendant deux semaines.
La maison et les installations sont modernes et très fonctionnelles. Tout est de bon goût et joliment décoré. La douche et ses multiples fonctions ont été un vrai régal, bien appréciées de tous. La climatisation fonctionne très bien. Le petit plus restera la piscine sur le toit: enfin nous avons trouvé une piscine en Crète où l'eau n'est pas froide!!! Quel régal de pouvoir se baigner en rentrant de balade! Ceci dit, la petite plage de Mochlos n'est pas bien loin!
Nous avons également eu une agréable surprise: 3 jours après notre arrivée, en rentrant à la maison, nous avons découvert que quelqu'un était passé pour changer les draps et faire le ménage! Et cela s'est reproduit tout au long de notre séjour. Un vrai plaisir!
Eleanor est toujours joignable en cas de besoin. On peut aussi compter sur son fils qui nous a gentiment accueillis à notre arrivée.
C'est un endroit que nous avons eu du mal à quitter et où nous retournerions sans l'ombre d'une hésitation!
Le village de Mochlos est pittoresque avec sa promenade le long de la plage et ses tavernes "les pieds dans l'eau"! Un endroit rare...

A Wonderful Villa!
We've had a wonderful time at 4 Vaia Villas - it's a very well-equipped villa with glorious views and a good measure of privacy. The air con in the bedrooms works well, there's normally a breeze coming off the sea, and the village of Mochlos is lovely. Thoroughly recommended.

Maison confortable et vue superbe
Nous avons été super bien accueilli par Eléanor qui nous a conduit jusqu'à la maison. Pour le coup nous avons été agréablement surpris par la maison et la localisation car les photos sur homelidays sont mélangées avec celles des autres locations et on imaginait pas forcément une location placée comme celle ci avec une vue à couper le souffle. De plus l'intérieur est spacieux assez confortable. Seul bémol si vous êtes 5(comme nous)le canapé qui sert de cinquième couchage est pas très confortable (pour un petit cela peut passer mais pour un adulte limite).

Tolles Ferienhaus
Es ist ein wirklich geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit allem was man im Urlaub braucht! Der Blick von der Terrasse aufs Meer ist unglaublich und der Urlaub kann beginnen. Das Haus selbst bietet aus fast jeden Fenster ein traumhaften Blick. Wir waren zu zweit und nutzten das obere Schlafzimmer mit kleinem Balkon und für abends zum Herunterkühlen die Klimaanlage. Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet und wir haben alles gefunden, was wir brauchten. Einmal in der Woche wurden die Betttücher und Handtücher gewechselt.. und auch alles sauber gemacht 😊👍
Der Ort selbst bietet abends schöne Lokale und tagsüber viele tolle Ausflugsziele und Strände. Aber ich würde ein Mietauto empfehlen!
Ansonsten muss ich sagen, Eleanor und ihr Mann sind super Gastgeber und sehr hilfsbereit.. Danke dafür!!
Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen und für uns gibt es bestimmt ein nächstes Mal!

Schöner Aufenthalt in Mochlos
Wir verbrachten zwei wunderschöne Wochen in der Vaia Villa 4. Das Haus liegt am Hang und die Aussicht auf das Meer, die Berge und das Dorf Mochlos ist atemberaubend. Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung des Ferienhauses entsprach der Beschreibung im Inserat und ist zweckmäßig. Die Küche mit dem Esstisch bietet ausreichend Platz für die Gäste. Das eigentliche Wohnzimmer ist recht klein, aber die Stunden am Haus verbringt man eh auf der Terrasse. Angenehm ist, dass man die Schlafzimmer vor der Nachtruhe über die Klimaanlage herunter kühlen kann. Das Haus war sauber und gepflegt, die Lage ist ruhig. Die Betreuung durch die Vermieterin war perfekt.
Das Highlight vom kleinen Dorf Mochlos sind die zahlreichen Tavernen direkt am Wasser in autofreier Umgebung. Das Essen dort ist lecker mit einem guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Ein Mini-Markt versorgt mit dem Notwendigsten. Das Dorf ist fußläufig zu erreichen, aber auf dem Rückweg braucht man für den Aufstieg schon einiges an Kondition. Als Belohnung hat man einige Kalorien des reichhaltigen Essens in Mochlos schon wieder abtrainiert.
Mochlos selbst hat eigentlich keinen Strand. Ein kleiner Sandstrand befindet sich in ca. 3 Kilometer Entfernung neben dem Club Aldiana. Der Strand von Tholos liegt in einer schönen Bucht in ca. 14 Kilometer Entfernung. Leider besitzt er keine Infrastruktur und ist naturbelassen. Für die Strandtage haben wir uns daher zur Südküste aufgemacht.
Von Mochlos aus kann man zahlreiche Ausflüge in die Berge und entlang der Nord- und Südküste unternehmen. Die Landschaft ist wunderschön. Wanderer kommen voll auf ihre Kosten.
Zusammenfassend ist Mochlos ein lohnenswertes Urlaubsziel und die Vaia Villas sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Séjour à Mochlos
Juillet 2015: nous venons de passer deux semaines extraordinaires dans la maison de Eleanor Huffman. Le cadre est magnifique, la terrasse offre une vue splendide sur la mer et sur les falaises aux couleurs stup éfiantes.
La maison dispose de tout le confort nécessaire et nous avons beaucoup apprécié le changement régulier du linge de maison.
Mochlos est un charmant petit village de bord de mer; cependant, une voiture est indispensable pour visiter les alentours et découvrir quelques criques enchanteresses!
Nous avons hâte de revenir et découvrir la région à une autre saison.

Love Mochlos
We've stayed in several of these villas. The view is amazing, the villas are well equipped & the owners are very helpful. Mochlos is beautiful with a good choice of taverna's all on the sea. We look forward to staying here again.
