Unusual, eclectic and spacious The Dressmakers Salon is a 3 bedroom apartment on the first floor of The Old Schoolhouse, a Gothic Victorian Villa just less than 15 minutes walk from the centre of Bath. With one twin bedroom, one double bedroom and a quirky single bedroom off the lounge, this apartment is an amazing maze of rooms. You also have a compact, kitchen, full bathroom with shower over tub, cloakroom, and sitting room with dining area. This is a character-filled building and is not the "perfect boutique hotel" so many guests desire nowadays. It may not be your cup of tea, but if you enjoy the unusual and the quirky, this is the right place for you. The Dressmakers Salon occupies most of the first floor of this gothic Victorian villa situated on the lower slopes of the Wells Road close to the River Avon and the South entrance into the centre of Bath. Set back from the road, behind an iron gate, this gothic wonder was once a Victorian Schoolhouse. Its owners have lovingly rearranged it into five uniquely decorated apartments.

The size of the apartment and location was perfect, old and quirky decor which we loved HOWEVER, after an early check in via a phone call with the host, all lines of communication stopped. We had planned to explore the city by day and settle indoors during the evening watching films with drinks but to our huge disappointment, the tv, freeview box and dvd player didnt work so we left a text, email and voice note with no reply. We paid a fair amount to spend two days and nights at the apartment however the heating was only on for a short amount of time leaving us feeling cold in the evening and in bed. The toilet flush was broken and the shower had to be held over our heads to wash. We enjoyed our time in the City but extremely disappointed in zero communication from the hosts.
