A lovely property in an isolated but scenic location. Our party of 4 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs really enjoyed it.The weather was dire so we were limited in terms of exploring the area
Unfortunately, the holiday did not start well as the postcode given was not correct! Luckily, We rang the phone number given and they were able to guide! It was an additional 10 minute car journey. This however meant out Sainsburys delivery also got abandoned! I suggest people do a shop once there. The house itself though was beautiful with stunning views. We were very happy with the accommodation and the beautiful food left in the welcome pack from the Bodnant estate.
Lovely remodel of an old barn with gorgeous views of the Welsh hills. But the road to get there was a single lane road with traffic going in both directions so we often had to slam on brakes and decide which vehicle was going to back up. There was only a very small sign at the entrance to the property and the directions said turn at a farmhouse but it was a deserted small cottage. Once we did find it you had to drive down two ruts through two pastures. Even with an SUV the grass in the middle made driving difficult. We also had to shoo cows out of our way a couple times.
For Americans there was not enough heat with it being on a timer and coming on for only a few hours morning and evening. The upstairs bedroom was especially chilly.
We really appreciated the food and bottle of wine left for us.
Beautiful property with exceptional views. The roads around the property are single track and there is a stone track up to the property so no sports cars!! If you want a quiet escape I would highly recommend however, in close proximity to Llandudno and approx 50 minutes to Snowdonia and Caernarfon. Lovely village pubs surround the cottage on the neighbouring villages. We will certainly be back!!
