Some TLC needed
This property is in a quiet road near to shops and a short drive from the seafront.
The owner doesn't give access details until a couple of hours before your intended arrival time, which wasn't clear until a conversation with them and slightly worrying as we were already well into our journey.
The property is clean and tidy, the bedding and towels of good quality but there are several areas throughout that could do with some maintenance and TLC.
The provision of a supply of toilet paper was a nice surprise, as was the fresh milk for a well needed cup of tea. The pile of rubbish in the garden would have made it a no-go area had we had children with us.
The shower head attachment needs replacing as it doesn't stay in position once the water flows through it, although the water is hot with good pressure.
There is no welcome pack or instructions booklet, other than for the television, so you have to guess how to use the heating (which was needed to take off the chill) and search for the wi-fi code. The draught coming through the lounge window due to its ill fitting is bone chilling!
The damage deposit is steep given the quality of the furniture and fittings throughout.
Even though the weather at the time of our stay was very wet, windy and cold, we didn't want to spend much time inside this property.
