Not entirely sure what Neil meant by poorly equipped - as per the description there is fast wifi, tv in every room, kitchen is fully kitted with everything needed... all items listed are in the house.
Love this house. Nice quiet location with off-street parking, within easy walking distance of shops etc in Hatfield and bus route to Doncaster. The house is very clean and well maintained, has everything you need, plus a big garden with outdoor seating. Highly recommend!
Photos look good. When we arrived it was a different experience.
Firstly entering the property was fine, key is in a lock box that the owner sends you the code for. Breakfast items in the kitchen were a nice touch. Loved that
The property need quite a bit of work done to bring it up to a decent standard. And owner needs to properly check stuff before new people come in. For example: cobwebs (loads), some of the cutlery was still dirty (had dried bits on them), half a toilet roll on the holder and a full one that was stained and had gotten wet at some point.
The property had loads of problems, but we were only there for 2 nights so didnt see the point in raising them with owner: loads of light bulbs weren’t working, scratched/dirty tv (very old tv that doesn’t support hdmi (we brought a games console with us to have a games night we couldn’t do), very poor tv reception, back door really struggled to lock (always took us about 5 minutes), curtain tie backs coming off the wall in living room, bedroom door doesn’t close, bathroom door doesn’t close (the door would get stuck and you’d risk breaking it to open it), the beds/mattress’ seriously need replacement as they were very worn, creaky and very soft from age. I think lowering the price of a stay to a more fair price point for the current state of the property, would be advisable.
Garden was nice and big, the dog loved it, but some furniture out there would’ve been nice too.

Thank you for your feedback.
All issues mentioned will be addressed right away -
- cobwebs and any cutlery will be address immediately and going forward
- all bulbs are usually checked as part of cleaning - which will be reinforced
- toilet rolls - new are left
- there is an issue with the tv ariel which is being resolved next few days - that said the accomodation is listed has having a standard tv with freeview - no mention of hdmi
- the doors slightly catch and will be resolved
- one of the double bed will be repalced with a new king sized bed
- all matresses will be replaced by new
As for the price - it is based upon the number of guests staying - there were 4 of you plus dogs - which does come to a little more than 2 staying - this is however alot cheaper than booking 2 hotel rooms for example where the costs of staying would be doubled.
regards
Sean
Nice little house in a quiet cul de sac easy to book and nice welcome of breakfast cereal butter jam milk and tea and coffee provided. The village has lots of amenities shops takeaways and pubs very close by.
The only slight negatives were TV reception was very hit and miss, only a couple of channels working .The main bedroom the bed is very noisy, the metal springs make a lot of noise even when you turn over in the night ,so woke up a few times.Otherwise comfortable. The kitchen could have been a bit better equipped, lacking knifes for food preparation, and no grill pan, or normal size baking trays/sheets.I only mention it as it is easily rectified.
Overall good value ,and would stay again if I wanted to visit the area.
Everything like on photos. Nice and clean house . Perfect location and very quiet, ideal to get some rest. Very good neighborhood and area. Definitely recommend!
