PRIVATE PROPERTY: Villa Dell’Angelo is an antique villa which is 350 m above sea level, overlooks the whole plain, from a hillside landscape typical of the Lucca countryside. The estate, which dates back to the 17th century, is composed of various groups of cottages, lived in by peasants. The surrounding land covers an area of about 44 hectares mainly dedicated to grapevines and olives following the classic Tuscan tradition. The current owner maintained the original structure of the villa during renovation. The villa is finished with stones and plaster, and has been recently restored by the owners who have carefully conserved the original materials. Still in view is the antique Olive Oil Mill which is situated in front of the property offering a real-life memorial to the hard work of the local farmers. Next to the main villa there is a small apartment which is completely independent and is where the caretaker resides, a very reserved person who ensures the maintenance of the villa while respecting the complete privacy of its guests.

Interiors
The villa is spread over 4 floors. From the parking area leads to the first floor composed by entrance/dining room, an old stone kitchen, a service bathroom, a modern kitchen and laundry room. Also, on this floor there are two living rooms with fireplace (not working), one with direct access to the garden. Through an internal stone staircase that reaches the second floor made of two double bedrooms sharing a bathroom with tub, another double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and a small study equipped with bunk bed ideal for two kids, and a double bedroom with French bed with ensuite bathroom with shower. Via a wooden staircase reaching the upper floor you have access to a quadruple room with ensuite bathroom with shower.
From the first floor, where is the dining room/entrance, thanks to an internal wooden staircase you can access the ground floor, where there is a tavern consisting of a kitchenette, dining area and a bathroom with shower. This environment has direct access to the garden through a large door.

DEPENDANCE: From the garden you can reach a small flat made of a further double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower.

Lovely Family Venue
This large, comfortable home was the perfect place for our family of 11 for our vacation. Comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen were a plus. Bring citronella rings and bug spray as mosquitos are an issue. The view is breathtaking, and the infinity pool is well-kept. There is a caretaker on the property who was helpful, although he doesn't speak English. There is a very large Esselunga grocery store close by that has an extensive variety of both food and non-perishable products. Items are reasonably priced. We love to cook so we appreciated the opportunity to try items not available in American grocery stores. The road to the home is very narrow so take care to use your horn on blind curves, and know that passing an oncoming car can be a bit harrowing. Our only negative experience was with a home chef recommended by the property management. We hired her for an onsite cooking lesson. Without going into detail, in the end the dinner was fine but we wouldn't do it again. We wholeheartedly recommend this property and would most definitely rent it again. Many thanks to Elisa and Iliana for their hospitality.

The Villa is located on the hills of Lucca, on top a long serpent road. The view is spectacular and the Villa very well kept. It was easy to communicate with Elisa and her team, they were very helpful with everything. Can warmly recommend!

We spent one week in villa Dell'Angelo together with our children and grandchildren, we were 6 adults and 5 young children, we really enjoyed our stay! The road up to the villa is interesting (very steep and winding), but it is well worth it. The villa itself is very large and beautifully renovated, with a large well-kept garden, and with a fantastic view over the plains toward Lucca. The many rooms and large gardens gave everyone privacy when needed. There were separate bathrooms for each bedroom, and one extra. There were dining rooms both upstairs and downstairs, and plenty of plates, glasses, cutlery for each dining room. There were two kitchens (and two dishwashers :-)). The kitchens were equipped with everything necessary, lots of everything - we have never previously rented a villa so well-equipped. Outside there was a long table for meals in the shadow. Some meters away from the main garden was the pool area with the beautiful eternity pool, with sunbeds, chairs and parasols for everyone, outdoor shower and a shaded dining table. In the many garden levels there were also a ping-pong table and a fuss ball table. We all had a fantastic week in this lovely villa!

Elisa and her team were outstanding. They could not do enough to make us feel at home. Whether it was the welcome package or the speedy and effective response to any concerns. Tuscan Hotels will be my first choice for a villa the next time we return to the area. Thank you Elisa!
