Visiting Cardiff for either work or leisure and want your own space? This stylish two bedroom apartment is a fantastic place to base yourself. The apartment is on the first floor of a traditional Cardiff building in a quiet, leafy residential neighbourhood.

There's an open plan living space with a space to work or enjoy meals. Two double bedrooms plus fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and coffee machine.

Easy access into the Cardiff city centre and with the trendy neighbourhood of Pontcanna nearby there are plenty of local, independent coffee shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy within a 10-15 minute walk.

You'll have fast WiFi in the apartment, ideal for work or streaming services like Netflix. There's a comfortable & stylish open-plan living-kitchen-dining area.

The bedrooms both have double beds, the bathroom has a shower over the bath.

There is free street-side parking at the property. The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals (including a dishwasher). There's a Lavazza coffee machine and pods for coffee lovers!

Lovely view; modern flat

We loved this flat. We used it when I was bringing my daughter to uni. It's about a 40 minute walk into town but there are bus stops close by that get you there in 15. The view from the living room is spectacular. Everything is modern and clean and worked well. We especially appreciated the laid-on shampoo, conditioner etc and even washing up liquid and laundry detergent! The neighbours weren't too noisy and it was only a 10 minute walk or so to the Tesco Express, so we didn't starve :) Would highly recommend and might return myself one day.

I'm Claire and I'll be your host at this apartment. Whilst I'm not on-site I'll be on-hand via messages or a phone call if you need anything. There's lots to see and do in the city
and I'd be happy to give you some recommendations.

Our business is called Switchback Stays and we run several properties as self-contained apartments for visitors to the city. We also live in Cardiff (and have done for over 20 years) so know the city and the surrounding areas well.

Outside of giving our guests a top-quality stay and experience I have a background in sport, specifically tennis. I have been a tennis coach for over 20 years and as a junior player reached national level. My proudest achievement came in 2019 when I had the fantastic opportunity to represent Great Britain in the Seniors World Team Championships.

Why they chose this property

As soon as we saw this apartment we knew it would be perfect for our guests. It's a great location, on a quiet street and a short walk to independent shops, restaurants and coffee shops. There's also a walk through the leafy park Bute Park into the city centre.

Pontcanna, where this apartment is located is one of our favourite areas of Cardiff. Our designer loved making the most of the space with contemporary furniture and some bespoke finishing touches.
