Charming gite near the river Vienne and kayak facilities

The gite has two bedrooms and a large comfortable lounge with bed settee which can be converted into another bed. The bathroom is on the ground floor, with over-bath shower. There is a well-equipped kitchen-dining area. Outside, there is a large garden and patio area, with chairs, tables and a barbecue. Internet facilities are via a dongle, but you may not need this as there is 4G in the area. The little hamlet of Le Port is a short walk from the main village of Moussac, crossing a bridge on the beautiful Vienne river. The village has a church and a bar. Very near to Le Port, there is a kayak centre,
tHGEwhere you may take a leisurely trip down the river , with a ride back in the minibus. Other attractions nearby are the Valley des Singes (Monkey Valley, where there are hundreds of different primates); the beautiful towns of Poitiers, Limoges and Confolens, and pretty villages in abundance. The nearest town is L'Isle Jourdain, which is buzzing in summer months with bars and restaurants. For the adventurous, there is a zip-wire across the river Vienne, and also a walk through the trees, suitable for children. Bungee jumping also, for the more adventurous. For those of us who prefer a more leisurely pace, there are lots of beautiful countryside walks. The house is in a small hamlet of
