A perfect setting for friends and families who want to spend quality time together or for retreats such as yoga, wellness, business and any other gathering that you wish to host..the options are endless. To enhance the stay, the villa has a local cook who prepares three daily meals of traditional Greek cuisine.
The village of Sparto is perched high above the Ambracian Gulf. Approached down a winding country road through olive groves, you are greeted by a high stone wall with a large iron gate flanked by two immense stone urns containing pomegranate trees. Pass through the gates and you enter a landscape that has not changed in centuries.
The winding driveway is lined with oleanders and lavenders which border around the olive groves.
A walkway, covered with an arbour of lemon trees brings you into a courtyard planted with fragrant lavender. A fountain in the centre emerges from an old terra cotta amphora makes the entrance a masterpiece.
Beyond the courtyard is the outdoor kitchen and dining area which features a six and a half metre long bar made from one solid piece of eucalyptus wood, , fully stocked drinks refrigerator, coffee machine and a traditional wood-burning oven. The massive wooden dining table seats sixteen, all under a bamboo pergola.
Beyond the dining area is an outdoor sitting area which overlook the pool. Nestled past the sitting room is an enclosed area with oval stone tub and outdoor shower. Three bamboo bedrooms are located behind the seating area. These rooms are more basic but perfect for teen-age guests wanting their own space. They each have a stand-alone fan and share the outdoor shower together with the W.C and wash basin.
The entrance to the house is furnished with a rustic console table and an imposing twisted wood-framed mirror. To the left is a fully equipped kitchen.
The living room boasts sofas, coffee table, fireplace, sound system and flat screen television. Through the sea view full length French doors there is a large covered terrace with wrap around seating piled high with plump cushions. Through the living room is the dining room which seats eight and looks out on both the sea and the infinity pool. Both sides of the pool are lined with comfy sun loungers. For those who prefer their cocktails while immersed in the water, the shallow end of the pool features two swim up teak tables and a wide built in sofa.
There are two bedrooms with two bathrooms off from the living room. One bedroom has stunning sea views and beyond to the mountains, the other has a view towards the lavender courtyard.
A lighted external staircase descends to the ground floor. Four bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom that comprise of a separate W.C, wash basin and a spacious shower. One guest room has a fireplace and all have their own private veranda with a table and chairs, separated by walls of flowering plants.
Beyond the villa, a stone pathway leads down to the outdoor cinema which is shaded by mature olive trees. Guests can enjoy just chilling out on comfortable bean bags whilst watching a film to complete yet another magical day.
Next to the sea, a petanque court provides hours of entertainment, and if playing is not your thing, next to the court is a large sun decking area with loungers that provide the perfect area to watch the play, or to relax, chat and enjoy pre-dinner drinks. On the west side of the estate there is a table tennis table where the families can enter into a daily competition amongst themselves,
A small gate guarded by the statue of an Indonesian goddess (which doubles as a shower) opens to reveal the private pier with boat mooring and diving rock for a swim in the sea. 2 canoes and a paddleboard provide fun around the bay. 3 bicycles offer a perfect way to venture out and explore the areas surrounding the villa.
Further along through the olive trees there is a large covered swing/bed that provides the perfect spot for peace and quiet away from the villa to gather your thoughts, read a book or simply listen to the sound of the sea.
For our guests who want some relaxation and pampering and feel totally relaxed and refreshed, our beautiful wooden massage hut is where you can enjoy a massage from a fully qualified masseur.
A vegetable garden supplies the estate with vegetables and herbs, while a family of chickens provide free range eggs, guaranteed to give much fun for all guests to take a basket and collect their daily lay.
The daily maid will keep the areas clean and tidy, leaving our guests to just enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
