Good central location Ashington larger than we had imagined
We had a lovely relaxing week touring the beautiful Northumberland Coast. The property is a terraced house which was comfortable but with a little more attention to detail could improve. There was no welcome pack which we have previously had meaning as soon as we arrived we had to go out shopping. The paintwork was a bit tired in places and could easily be freshened up. The back yard needs a good clean and a coat of paint. This would be a wonderful space with garden tables and chairs in the summer. Very comfortable beds and plenty of space.

Home from home on a tight budget
After advising the property manager that I would not be leaving a good review because there were bare light bulbs hanging from the ceiling with no shades fitted, the kitchen bin was left dirty with dried food stuck to it, we had to buy cleaning materials and cloths to clean the kitchen work surfaces, insufficient bedside lamps and no electrical sockets to plug in those that were there. The front garden/yard of the property was scruffy with dead weeds, litter, and the front of the meter cupboard had been pulled off and was lying on the ground, not very welcoming. She advised me that this property was "budget" accommodation and in future I should pay £1000 to stay in "high end" accommodation and not expect "something for nothing" I also declined to leave the key in the lock box to allow a gas engineer to access the property to carry out a gas check when we were out for the day. To be fair the beds were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay in Northumberland, just don't choose budget accommodation.
