Very kind hosts, nice, spacious apartments in a beautiful setting
The agriturismo is located amidst the hills of higher Marche with the backdrop of the Appenine hills providing beautiful views. The small mediaeval town of Cagli is about 10 mins drive away, with couple of supermarkets, restaurants, etc
(To find the agriturismo, don’t rely on google maps, it will send you to a poor gravel road a mile away from the real location - which is shown by a yellow signpost on the main road between Acquaviva and Frontone, on the left side when driving in the direction of Frontone. Or just call Cesare for directions!)
As in the description it’s a small establishment with a couple of apartments in two houses, with two pools, quite far from each other, and far from the main road - so it’s very calm. The pools are big, and there’s plenty of space for the kids to run around. (Important to note that the most shallow part of at least the lower pool is ~115-120cm deep, so the smallest kids will need some aid)
Our apartment (Iris) was tastefully furnished with antic furnitures. The kitchen had everything, even a dishwasher, the cellar had a washing machine. But the best place was the huge covered terrace with both dining and “salon” areas.
The bedroom upstairs was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and nice.
In the living room downstairs with the fireplace you can see yourself even in colder seasons. However, the sofa bed is better suited for kids to sleep than adults.
Cesare and Giuliano were extremely hospitable, inviting us for an aperitivo upon arrival, inviting the kids to their horses, and arranging horse riding lessons in Cagli.
