Enjoy our charming country cottage within its two acre private grounds. The recently renovated property is situated within a small hamlet offering immediate access to many 'golden trail' walks through surrounding countryside. Ample private parking and gated driveway, (at least 5 vehicles) and open summer barn. Traditional covered outdoor dining area. 3 bedrooms, bathroom, shower/utility room, large fully equipped kitchen, dining with additional kitchen facilities, living room with satellite TV & DVD player. Bicycles also available to explore trails, outdoor games and sun-beds stored inside property.
This is a special peaceful property which nobody easily wants to leave, however, there are lots of wonderful places to explore nearby. The beautiful historic village of Charroux (9km) has a local produce market weekly, wonderful artisan bakers and a tea room with its 11th century monastery tower, abbey museum. Civray (14km) has 12th century Romanesque church, fortified chateau remains, and is also a market town, with twice weekly markets - Friday's food market offering local produce and local grown truffles, outdoor swimming pool (17mins).
Nearest Airports: Poitiers: 45 minutes. Limoges: 1 hour, 10 mins
Nearest Ferry ports: Dieppe: 4 hours, 55mins. Le Havre: 4 hours 40 mins.

Why they chose this property
To escape here is very special. Our home offers easy living with beautiful grounds, which is where we spend more time out than in during the wonderful summer months. We enjoy walking or cycling from the property daily and never bore of the views and infinite sunflowers (when in bloom), etc. Also, the local villages offer all you need, little village artisan stores, and even Lidl, SuperU and Intermarche (supermarkets) less than 20 minutes, which is even enjoyable as always a quiet drive through the countryside so you can suck up the area as you go, to stop off for a Kodak moment with the local wildlife and fauna. We truly hope you enjoy all the local amenities too, there is: yoga, kayaking, and there will be lots of other annual concerts, etc. We will provide as much information as we can. There is a little tourist office in Charroux to visit too.
