Its 35 sq. m. makes it comfortable for families of up to 4 persons while its large patio with the endless sea view is ideal for a relaxing evening. The apartment is brand new and equipped with a king size bed and 2 sofa beds that can accommodate 2 extra kids. One can also find a washing machine, iron and ironing board, roof fans for natural cooling and a fully equipped kitchen for your private use. The apartment’s location makes it the absolute place for a quiet and couple or family relaxing holiday, a perfect fit for travelers who want to spend quality time right by the sea.
The sandy beach of Shinari is located just 100m away and 500m away is the beach of Loutra. Loutra beach is the main tourist attcaction of the island because of its thermal springs. These thermal springs are said to have healing properties because they are very rich in minerals. They can reach the temperature of 52oC, producing steam when getting in touch with the cool water of the Aegean Sea. The baths are very well organized and very popular since King Othonas’ and Queen Amalias’ era.
In a short distance from the apartment one can also find Agios Sostis and Potamia beach, two of the most beautiful beaches of the island.
Of course we can not forget the Greek cuisine. Only 30m away from the apartment there is a restaurant with typical Greek food, owned by a local family that produces distinctive Greek flavors .
More restaurants and bars can be found in Loutra where you can enjoy fresh fish by the local fishermen right by the water. 2 mini markets and an ATM machine can also be found in this area for your convenience.
Chora is the capital of the island and it is located 7 km away while Merihas, where the port is, is only 12 km away. St. Mary Kanala’s monastery is a must see as well as the archeological sight of Vriokastro, which used to be the ancient capital of Kythnos. Lastly, the countless beaches of the island and especially the one in Kolona area will definitely impress you and fill you with the best memories of this unspoiled island.
A car rental is highly recommended so that you conveniently explore this beautiful island.
Public buses and taxis are available in the island.
Ferries from Pireaus port or Lavrion port to Kythnos are available on a daily basis.
