🐟 Blue Cottage Porto 🐟

The Blue Cottage has a very cozy maritime environment due to its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean (20 min walking dist) and what it represents for the Portuguese: sun, beach, fishing port, surf and sailing. With a very comfortable bed, two single sofa bed, a full equipped kitchenette and an exclusive garden courtyard for its guests, surrounded by our own pleasant garden. Located near the quiet rural entrance to the City Park, it's the ideal spot within the vibrant and urban Porto environment.

The studio is well equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, a kettle, a toaster, an iron and ironing board (on request) among others. We provide capsules for the first 2 breakfasts. We also have tea, sugar and spices. And because you’re on vacation, there is a dishwasher with some detergent capsules, to save you the trouble and keep the house always tidy. We provide washing and drying laundry service for a fee - € 8 each load of 7 kg. Another service we provide is continental breakfast for the price of € 6 / 1pax. Both services must be requested the day before.
In addition to good quality bedding and towels, we provide shampoo, shower gel, organic soap, and make-up cotton wipes. We provide fresh linen and towels after a 7 nights stay. Any linen ordered before this deadline is priced at € 8 per set. And because we are eco-friendly, we have 4 containers at the entrance to the property for garbage separation. Although we are equipped with a comfy double bed, two single sofa beds and provide a baby cot by request, we recommend a maximum of 3 adult guests for a comfortable stay but can accommodate 4 by request.
Guests will be personally welcomed by Constança or Nuno (my son and co-host) and will be given all the necessary information for your stay, as well as suggestions for you to enjoy our city the most. We live at the same property and are almost always available on Airbnb chat notice if you need. Privacy and discretion towards our guests is greatly important and taken in consideration!
Across the street you will find two direct buses to the city center (bus line 208 or 501 in 35 min) or to matosinhos main fresh fish and seafood restaurants (501 bus) .30 meters away from our gate, you'll find a post office to buy bus and metro tickets and an ATM cash machine.
If you travel by car, there is plenty of free parking in our street, or even inside the property if requested in advance. You can reach city center by car in 15 mns. Porto airport is at 10 km distance (10 mns by car, Über or taxi / 60 mns by metro + bus).
The unique location, near the main City Park (1 min) offers pleasant and relaxing walks to the sea side (20 min walking), Foz and Matosinhos beaches, Sea Life Center and surf schools. There you can enjoy a simple breakfast at Meet Cafe, a delicious brunch (Saturdays and Sundays) or a buffet at Soundwich Cafe which offers a unique Jazz music setting. Every Saturday, at the same entrance of the park, there is an organic market where you can buy food. Mercadona or Pingo Doce (supermarkets) are reachable one km away. You can also easily reach the foremost Portuguese contemporary art museum, Serralves Museum (1.8 km) and Porto main concert hall Casa da Música (4 km) by bus. It is a residential area inside the most green local of the city, but NOT in the city center. Please be sure the place is the most convenient for your expectations!
