Deer often graze in the adjoining hills and a wide variety of bird life can be spotted in the immediate area.
The nearby village of Lochinver has an excellent selection of local shops and restaurants, as well as two pubs, a tourist office and interesting craft shops. This region, known as Assynt, is renowned for its superb and unspoilt beaches, hills, mountains and wildlife. Water sports, fishing, golf and cycling are all local pastimes. Beach 500 yards.
