There are a few tavernas, just a short drive away. There is also Kastraki , a delightful place to go in the evening in the summer months . It has terrific views of the whole Messinian bay and the lights of Kalamata in the distance- not to be missed !!!
For every day essentials ,there are 2 mini markets, an excellent bakery that also serves coffee , a butcher’s, a pharmacy all within . a 3 min drive. For more extensive amenities Kalamata is about a 10 min drive.
Eating out is a delight ! You are spoilt for choice There are an abundance of tavernas, restaurants, cafes, bars located on the sea front, in the historical centre and the marina.
The commercial centre of Kalamata has a lot to offer in terms of up- market shops sophisticated cafes & eateries.
The area has lush vegetation, wonderful beaches both with sand and pebbles, lovely tavernas at the sea and at excellent prices, and many sights to visit such as the Dyros caves, ancient Messini, the “eyes of Venice” i.e. Koroni and Methoni with their medieval castles, Pylos and Nestor’s palace, the lagoon of Yialova with all kinds of birds, the Mediterranean chameleon, etc, as well as “the Mani” with its traditional villages with stone houses and stone cobble streets.
