Summary:
Cook in a modern kitchen and have breakfast at a table where morning light streams in through a row of picture windows. Gather on a leather couch to plan activities, and freshen up afterwards in bathrooms with a tub, shower, and heated towel racks.
The Space:
The house was built in 1983 and was newly renovated in 2016 on the inside and out.
The apartment is very open and bright with a lot of character and charm to them. Being newly renovated, everything in the apartments is top of line from home appliances to wooden floors.
The apartment has a dining table, kitchen with a coffee machine, dishwasher, kettle, microwave and all the basic kitchen tools that one might need. The are beds for 6 persons in total, both single and double depending on the rooms as well as a sleeping couch. Spacious sofas are situated in the living room. Plenty of closet space and both bathrooms have all the necessities. One bathroom has a shower and a bath whilst the other only has a walk in shower. There are also spacious balconies connected to the kitchen and also second balconies are connected to the master bedroom.
The apartments uniquely furnished are truly beautiful with a spacious garden and a great view of the old harbour are.
Guest Access:
The guest has access to the whole apartment as well as laundry room in the basement and storage for luggage if needed. The apartment comes with free wifi, Netflix and free parking spot right outside the house.
The Neighborhood:
The apartment is in a wonderful neighborhood next to the old harbor and whale-watching center. Grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and bars are within easy walking distance. It's an ideal area for families as playgrounds are found nearby.
Getting Around:
Buses run close to the apartment and through the city centre. Also taxis can usually be found close.
Other Things to Note:
Cots, cribs, high seats and other children/baby furniture are available upon request.
Parking is free in front of our apartment.
Important note! In Iceland beer, wine and liquor is only sold in one chain of stores called "Vínbúðin" (apart from restaurants and bars) but luckily enough that store is within 5 minutes walking distance!
Hungry for groceries ? Take a 5-10 minute walk to the Grandi area and find 3 large supermarkets. Can't wait ? 10/11 (Iceland's 7/11) is around the corner only 2 minute walk.
