We had a wonderful week! Lillie was a great host and so accommodating when we realized someone in our group had left something behind. Thank you again for a great stay!
My friends and I had an excellent time at the house! It was a block from the beach, plenty of room for everyone, no complaints. The property manager was so nice and easy to get in touch with. Lovely
Home was immaculate. Lillie was wonderful to deal with and met my mom and I at the property and walked us thru. Cooking for 31 on Thanksgiving was challenging but we made it through. Everyone was thrilled with the history of the house. Wished the weather had cooperated so we could go on the beach but enjoyed our stay nonetheless.
Lillie was a fantastic host! Met us at the property to walk us through it and very responsive to our many questions then and during our stay. The house was filled with everything we needed and it is well stocked. Air conditioners in every room were perfect for the hot weather. The front porch was cozy and comfortable and we spent a lot of time out there. The house is on the older side and a bit slanted in certain spots but has a lot of charm. There are 2 showers in the bathrooms and 1 shower outside. The 3 bathrooms were all on the upper floors. The house is the perfect proximity to the beach just a block away from the beautiful beach and boardwalk. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Lillie!
We had a wonderful family vacation with our extended family. The property is an easy walk to the beach, boardwalk, and other attractions like Lucy the elephant. We have a love for architecture and history and loved seeing some old photos of the home and the families who have loved this property. Like with all 150 year old homes, there are some quirks, but we loved them. The space was perfect for our elderly parents, small children, teens, and small pets.Lillie is a wonderful, welcoming host, and you can see the love and memories she has in the home as well.
I want to give you an extra special thank you! Meeting you was lovely!!
We've been staying at the shore for the past 4 years and this was the first time there was no reason to be in touch with the owner/ manager. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. We had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed your hospitality very much!! Thanks again❤️
Lillie was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. She met us during check in and even waited for me since I got stuck in traffic. She kept in contact with us though out our stay. Even saved a car from being towed. The house is well stocked with everything you would need. Paper plates to toilet paper. The porches front and back are just beautiful. Lovely flowers and well maintained. First time I had to use a charcoal grill in a long time. She even had the charcoals and a basket just for the grill. We loved our family time at the beach. Just a short walk. Supplied beach badges and chairs and toys for the kiddos. Parking was hard but when your at the shore it's always a down fall but would definitely rent again from Lillie. You can tell she takes pride in her home and really wants you to enjoy your time at the Jersey shore!
Wonderful Old Victorian, Close to Beach, Boardwalk and Casinos
The Victorian house was a gem of a find, just a block up from a beautiful wide, flat/firm beach, right on the boardwalk within walking distance to the Casino area to the north (1.8 miles) and walking distance to the beautiful homes of Ventnor/Margate lining the boardwalk to the south. The house was stocked with everything we needed, from beach towels and chairs, to plastic bags, coffee making supplies, linens, plates/cups, laundry and dish soap, the house had it all. Lillie, the owner, was just delightful to deal with, and even met us at the house when we arrived. The house has some great history, and she gave us a tour to include pointing out the old photo album of the original occupants of the house dressed in their finery. Our young adult kids all had their own rooms, and the house was just the right size for the eight of us. Everything was in easy walking and driving distance, to include hopping on the Jitney to get up to the Casino area. We were looking for a charming home, near the ocean and many other attractions such that our young adult children could all find something they liked, and we absolutely found it. The price was also very reasonable, particularly for how well-stocked it is, and I could not recommend this home more highly. I already miss sitting on the back porch in the morning and the front porch in the evenings, just delightful! Thank you Lillie, you were a wonderful host!
We had a wonderful time! Everything is as described and represented in the photos. The house is just lovely. I was worried about the antiques but everything in this house is built to last, even with our energetic 6 and 9 year olds. The beach is far less crowded than Ocean City, NJ. The house comes with beach tags but we were never asked about them, so it was quite peaceful. We’ve never stayed so close to the beach and loved the convenience! The kitchen was stocked with baggies and foil and paper towels etc. Really, no matter what we needed, if we went looking for it, we found it. There are even beach toys, a boogie board, about 15 beach chairs, beach towels (master closet), and a beach umbrella. (Bring a wagon if you’d like.)
The patio was really a nice touch. We enjoyed sitting out there with the dogs, and we even used the charcoal grill one evening. Loved the back porch for coffee in the morning. The front porch is also amazing, especially for games. All of the plants were also well thought out. No details were overlooked.
We thought the stairs might be a bit much, but it worked out great. There was ample space for the family and having three bathrooms was luxurious.
Bonus: this was a great place for a murder mystery (ordered on Amazon) after the kids went to sleep one night.
Very quiet and nice beach block. Charming and large house. 2 dining areas and large sitting area. Also a very nice porch with nice couches and chairs. This house was super cozy for our family and we would love to come back and stay again. Lillie was great to communicate with and super sweet!
Our large family had a wonderful time at the beautiful, historic Victorian beach home in Ventnor City. Lillie, the owner, was an incredible host: welcoming, informative, and so caring. We loved the history and the beauty of the old home and couldn't believe we were only one block from Ventnor City beaches and the boardwalk. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
This was honestly one of the favorite rentals I have ever stayed at. Short distance to the beach, tons of space for our family of 10, and a super charming house. Would recommend to anyone, and the host was super helpful and friendly!!
The house is definitely vintage, a wonderful historic home. The kitchen was small, but since we did most of our cooking on the grill. One person in the kitchen prepping and the second person grilling. It was not a problem. Some have mentioned the stairs, but for our family the three floors of stairs was not a problem. If I were to improve on the usability of this house, it would be nice to have a pantry just of the kitchen in the little sitting area and a downstairs half bath. But let be be clear, none of this interfered with our wonderful beach vacation.
This rental and experience where all we could have hoped for and Lillie literally thought of everything we could have needed.
Clean, accommodating and so much space for our large group to not be tripping all over one another while getting ready to leave for the day. 2 minute walk to the beach, 2 minute walk to the public transportation that takes us anywhere we could want to go.
Lillie even had photos in an album of the property from long ago that were super interesting and gave a personal touch.
All of our group have agreed we are coming back as soon as possible. Just fantastic.

The location was absolutely perfect. And Lillie couldn’t have been a better hostess!
The house was great. It’s old, as described, but very charming. The location was ideal - walkable to the beach and away from the chaos of Atlantic City. Lillie was great! She met us there, walked through the house with us and had lots of fun treats waiting! She thought of everything! The number of bedrooms was perfect with a big crowd like we had.

It was okay
The home is very spacious, the rooms were pretty large although most of my guest didn't enjoy walking up the stairs. It's great if you love old style but the high step into the tub
to take a shower was a bit much. The owner was great and very accommodating. We had to burn candles for the first few days as there was a very stale smell upon our arrival. The front porch was very spacious, you could relax and enjoy the weather as this is a very quiet neighborhood. The back porch was a quiet little lovely hideaway. This house is not the ideal situation if there are little children. I had to constantly make sure they didn't touch any of the vintage items throughout the house. There was only one t.v. located in the living room in which I was not aware until I arrived.
