Just as expected!
This property was exactly as advertised! Great location!
Really enjoyed our stay. Location is great. House is clean and furnished well/ comfortable.
Booked for next year. That says it all!!
Two Star for location
Oct. 05-Dec. 12th. Cons: Upon our arrival place was very dirty inside and outside of property, around the windows, under the bed, in the corner of laundry room and under the glass on the side tables you see in the picture, complete filth. (I took pictures upon our arrival). Thousands of ants greeted us at the front door. (Ant spray took care of that). Outside eaves are wide open so that creatures can crawl up in there. (we heard something in the ceiling a couple days before we moved out). Tub does not drain well. Had to keep turning the shower on and off so I didn't have to stand in water. The furniture is very dated and dining table is very small. The headboard to the bed in master is being held up by the wall and cement blocks. Oh and if you have a miserable neighbor you will hear the doors slam and they are loud! (this is a duplex) Why did we stay? This was a landing place for us while our house was being built. I kept a path clean along with using our own bedding and we made do. Plus we had paid in full. Now the pros are: this place is .5 mile to beautiful Nokomis Beach. The water pressure at this property is fantastic and water heats up fast. The washer machine is old but I liked it! Dishwasher works great! This place needs ownership pride. Thorough cleaning from top to bottom, update the furniture, pressure wash, fix the eaves and replace the tub, a good overhaul and this could be a nice place. Lastly, we did not expect a 4 star property or all the comforts of a resort however we did expect clean.
Due to issues with our cleaning company we have switched cleaning companies. We apologize for not meeting your expectations.
Perfect for us
Convenient to family and the beach. House was clean and it was great to have a washer and dryer. Having bicycles available to use was a plus.
you get what you pay for, location is what you pay for.
if you want to be close to the beach this place is for you, but if you want any other comforts of a hotel stay somewhere else. from the concrete slab beds to the stained flat pillows, also the paper thin walls so you can hear every noise from the neighbors. you do get that spa feeling from the tub since it doesnt drain when taking a shower... if i could give it 0 stars i would.
Apparently the guy with the huge barking dog is retaliating for me telling him I would evict him on the spot if he didn't keep his dog quiet. I guess his jacked up pickup and his unannounced guest with the illegal tint really did say it all. But hey, thanks for our only one star review in 15 years. So what did the neighbors he was disturbing say?
My husband and I, and my mother-in-law all enjoyed staying at your beach cottage this past week. It was delightful. No more dog barking from the neighbor. We surely appreciate your speedy resolve to this matter. I will not mention the dog-thing in my review. As a personal side, your framed photographs are just lovely and I would add one more to hang on the dining room wall. The linens are wonderful, the beds are very firm, which we absolutely love (cannot find modern day FIRM mattresses anywhere!), and we all loved the appliances, especially the Maytag washer that has an agitator in it! (can't find those anymore either) You've got a real gem on your hands!"
Great bargain near the beach!
I enjoyed our stay, very close to the beach, clean, has beach chairs and umbrellas for the renters use & bikes. My only compliant is the beds are very very firm, woke up stiff every morning but other than that a nice place to stay for the money.
