About this property
Luxury, Spacious, Beachfront (direct access) House with Breath-taking Sea Views
Situated on the beautiful 'Cornish Riviera', 'The View' is a wonderful, 5 bedroom house with beach access (direct from the garden) and breath-taking, 180-degree sea views. The house and view certainly has the 'wow' factor (especially when viewed from the hot tub!) In the drive, there is off-street parking for 4 cars. The heart of the home is the spacious sitting room with large sliding doors allowing you to relax on any one of the 4 comfy sofas and take in the incredible sea-view. The room is tastefully decorated with interesting, original artwork and vintage film posters. It's fully equipped with a flat- screen TV, a log-burner, a vinyl record player (with classic albums!) and a decorative juke box. This room is a cool and cosy space for the whole family! The large, spacious, kitchen / dining room is a fabulous space to host family meals allowing everyone an incredible sea-view. The master bedroom also has wonderful sea-views, a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite with a large shower. There are 3 further double bedrooms which share a large family bathroom with a bath and shower. There is also a Quad room, ideal for younger members of the group which has its own bathroom with large shower. Kids and pets are more than welcome! (they would love it here!)

About the host
Hosted by Emily Hendy

We are theatrical producers from Kent who fell in love with 'The View' at first sight.
Why they chose this property
Cornwall (and in particular Downderry and the surrounding area) is our favourite holiday destination. We have three children, 8, 10 and 14 (funny names for children(!) and we think there is so much to do here for the whole family - surfing, body-boarding, rock-pooling, go-karting, zip-wires, zoos, castles etc... Or if you want a day out, you can visit Looe, Fowey, Polperro, St Ives, Landsend, the Eden Project...etc... Alternatively, you could just stay at The View and watch out for the seals who visit the reef right outside the window!
What makes this property unique
'Enjoy The View!'
The picturesque village of Downderry was voted one of the ‘Top Ten Places to Live by the Sea’ in the Sunday Times. Downderry, together with the neighbouring beachside village of Seaton, have restaurants (The Blue Plate is highly recommended!); a beachside pub (‘Inn on the Shore’ has great pub food with a wonderful view); beach cafés; a village store and a post office. Similar facilities are available at St Germans, which also has a main line railway station providing a useful link to Plymouth. Seaton beach has a RNLI Lifeguard station during the summer and Seaton also has a Countryside Park with riverside and woodland walks.
At ‘The View’, you’re just a 2 minute walk away from access to the beautiful South West Coast Path. If you’re a golfer, you can enjoy a round at at Portwrinkle, St Mellion International Golf Resort or Looe Bindown and if it's fun you're looking for, ‘Adrenalin Quarry’ is a must (with go-karting, a giant swing, a brilliant aqua park and the longest zip wire in England!)
