## Space

My lovely apartment is separated in two floors, the perfect base when visiting London. Conveniently located between Victoria and Pimlico, and with great transport links, you’ll be right in the hub of the city but able to escape the hustle and bustle with total ease.

The spacious living area is at the heart of the home. With fresh white interior walls and large windows, this is a naturally light and airy room with homely finishing touches, such as a lovely book-shelf and a patterned rug. Sink into the comfortable sofas, put your feet up and watch your favourite shows on the flat screen TV. This is a welcoming and inviting space where you can kick back with the family.

With the modern and easy to use kitchen appliances, you will be cooking up a storm in no time! The contemporary kitchen is bright with cream units which are fully stocked. Amenities include a fridge, oven, hob, kettle and microwave.

All bedrooms are carpeted and all of the beds are dressed in luxury bed linens to ensure a serene night’s sleep. Both rooms also have chests of drawers and big wardrobes, you can get unpacking and feeling at home straight away- no need to worry about living out of suitcases! ## Neighborhood

Pimlico is a well located neighborhood of quiet streets lined with stately 19th-century homes. Its proximity to the brilliant Tate Britain gallery and stylish Chelsea make it popular with travelers and locals alike. Located in the southern end of Pimlico, is the tranquil St. George’s Square Garden which has excellent views of the River Thames. To the north of Pimlico is St. John Smith Square, an iconic church and classical music venue, hosting up to 300 high quality concerts a year. Just a 15 minute walk down the road from Pimlico is Victoria where you can find West End musicals, Wicked and Hamilton, occasionally with tickets available on the day. Just walking distance in the other direction is the Chelsea area, where you can visit one of the oldest botanical gardens in London, the Chelsea Physic Garden, or brilliant Saatchi Gallery.

For a global selection of craft beers, ales, and gourmet burgers, try out the Cask Pub and Kitchen where musicians play hours of bluegrass music every Sunday afternoon. Tucked away down a Pimlico side street of the same name, Cambridge Street Kitchen is a café during the day and restaurant by night, worth visiting for the adventurous British locally-sourced menu. A long standing Pimlico favorite is Grumbles, a rustic restaurant with delicious seasonal food. Last but not least, head to The Orange, an upmarket gastropub that offers great beer and wood-fired pizzas. As for shopping opportunities, Pimlico offers many quirky and boutique shops, including Les Senteurs perfumery and the simplistically named, but excellently stocked, Discount Shoe Sales, where you can pick up a pair of high quality gentleman’s brogues for a surprisingly low price.

Try O Sole Mio or Grumbles on Churton Street, or Kazan on Wilton Road. There is every type of cuisine somewhere in the neighbourhood. The independent cafes are all good too - try Cafe Mignon on Warwick Way.

Walk! If you are reasonably fit and have a bit of time you can walk to Buckingham Palace, or Parliament Square, or even to Knightsbridge - you'll see much more of the real London that way. If you fancy something edgier head south instead - you'll find some good non-touristy pubs and clubs over the river in Vauxhall, or for a family friendly alternative how about Vauxhall City Farm?

## Transit

All London transport options are available. The nearest station is Victoria, just a 10 minute walk away, connecting you to all major overground and underground lines. There are buses locally too e.g. the 24 from Wilton Road to Parliament Square and Trafalgar Square. You can easily pick up a black cab in the street nearby (Warwick Way). Exploring London could hardly be easier!

## Notes

Please note there is an old water tank in the property which means you have to wait for it to refill once you have used it all, the water pressure is also not very strong due to the flat being in an old Victorian home.

- Please note the flat is on the second floor and there is no elevator in the property.

Good location. Description is not accurate
This property is accessed by two flights of old, narrow, steep stairs. This takes you to the door of the flat. Once inside, you will be at the bedroom/bathroom level. To access the kitchen and family room, you must take another old, narrow flight of stairs. This unit has a lot of stairs and they are steep. There is only one bathroom. It has a tall tub that you need to step over to get in. Not easy for anyone with physical challenges or who is older. The amenities list showed it had a refrigerator and freezer. There is no freezer. This may or may not be updated in the listing now. The bedrooms were fine. The location is good. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and coffee shops in the area. We could also walk to locations in London that we were interested in or take a short taxi ride. Communication with the rental agency was not great. I think it's better to rent from the owner. The key pickup location is a little odd. If you get a taxi, keep the taxi until after you get the key and let the taxi take you and your luggage to the flat.

Central London
The apartment was located on a wonderfully quiet and centrally located street. But the amenities were lacking- the toilet and shower did not work properly.

Step back to the '70s
The location is ideal, convenient and an easy walk to Westminster, Victoria Station; a spacious 2-bedroom duplex in a very nice neighborhood...unfortunately the decor is from the 70's, the furniture is torn and worn, the carpets threadbare...the bedsprings were coming through the mattress, and even though the management company was highly responsive and told us they were sending over mattress pads, they never arrived. Overall great location, spacious apartment with crappy decor and uncomfortable beds.

Great Location
This cozy space is well-situated for a great visit to London, located a short walk from both Victoria Coach and Victoria Station. Though the flat is older and a bit worn, it was clean and safe. We found the accommodations to be accurate based on the online description, so please read that carefully (note: the narrow stairs).
