Large houses in the Småland forests for 18 people

Deep in the wild west of Småland lie our two country homes, with a large shared garden. Our greatest wish is for our guests to enjoy the peace and quiet, nature, the forest, and wilderness life, while also having plenty of wonderful places to visit nearby.

The houses, which are our family farm, date back to the mid-1800s. We’ve preserved the wood-burning stove and many other details that reflect the charm of days gone by. The bathrooms and kitchens have been renovated, so both houses now feature new shower areas. The kitchens are fully equipped and spacious. Both houses feature a living room with a fireplace.

There are 18 beds in 10 bedrooms and a sleeping cabin. In the large shared garden, there is a wood-fired hot tub available for rent year-round. Cots and high chairs are available.
The surrounding area consists of forests and trails. When our own Vildmarksbyn is not booked by other guests, all our cabin guests have access to the area. In the Wilderness Village, there’s a charcoal burner’s hut, docks, a rowing boat, and a canoe. There’s also a new pizza oven so you can bake fantastic pizzas by the lake. Fishing is included in the rent. Access to the area is available when the village is not booked.

Feel free to come say hello to our chickens and pick up some breakfast eggs.
Just a few hundred metres away is our own slalom slope, with ski rentals. Within half an hour, you’ll find High Chaparall, Isaberg, and Store Mosse National Park.

During the summer, reservations are made on a weekly basis only, with check-in on Sundays. No pets allowed. Maximum 18 people, including children of all ages.

Those who appreciate being close to the forest, hiking along quiet trails, enjoying solitude by their own swimming lake, or taking the kids fishing in a rowing boat—those are the guests who feel most at home with us.
