Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring.. Set within the owner’s working farm, Turnip Cottage has been finished to a high standard and provides perfect accommodation for a family or group of friends to gather and make memories. Conveniently close to both the A1 and the A66, it makes an ideal base for a holiday, whether you want to be out and about exploring the sights or close to home enjoying a walk or cycle ride.

This semi-detached barn conversion oozes charm with oak beams and flagged floors. The ground floor is mainly open plan and is perfect for getting everyone together. It has a large kitchen with all the modern appliances you could need, a large island and farmhouse table, making it a perfect social space. The living area has two sofas and an armchair, and views that stretch for miles. French doors from both the living room and kitchen lead out onto the spacious garden/terrace complete with barbecue and garden furniture.

Upstairs are three good sized bedrooms. The master has a kingsize sleigh bed, Smart TV and a fabulous en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, large walk-in shower and his and hers basins. The second bedroom has a kingsize bed and a single, and the third bedroom has a double bed. A separate family shower room completes this floor.

Outside is an enclosed lawned garden with terraced area. This is such a peaceful spot, with beautiful views that go on for miles with nothing but bird song to listen. The perfect place to sit back, relax and re-charge your batteries.

Out and about there are an abundance of things to do, with walking routes straight from the door and cycle tracks too. Visit the market town of Richmond or the the pretty town of Barnard Castle with its castle ruins and riverside walks. Bowes Museum is worth a visit too. The streets are lined with a wide array of independent shops, galleries and tea shops, and a good selection of pubs and restaurants can be found here too. Shop 1 mile, pub 1 mile and restaurant 2 miles.
