Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
General waste in the yellow bin glass/cans/plastic left aside for recycling, food waste in brown bin. Dog waste to be disposed of by guests.
Turn off all lights, appliances, and heating before leaving Close all windows and lock securely. Strip used bedding and leave it in one place. Gather used towels together and leave in the bathroom.
Please leave the key in the same location it was found on arrival
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Canal Cottage

A beautiful cottage that has anything you could ever need in it. The hospitality was great and there were lovely things to sample left by Kelli such as scones, gin and sweets. The outside is also lovely to sit out in and enclosed for the dogs to run about in. Without a doubt the loveliest self catering holiday home I have came across.

Charming canal cottage

The canal cottage was a perfect place for us to call home for a few days. It was very clean, well provisioned and in a perfect spot - right out the door we could pick up the blue way trail along the canal or walk over to Lough Allen. It was also within walking distance of the town. We also appreciated all of the special touches provided by Kelli and Bobby - a bottle of wine, coffee, tea, biscuits, milk, etc. They are also wonderful hosts and available for any questions we had. We will definitely plan to come back!

Simply put, the photos of this cottage do not do it justice. We stay regularly at various cottages, in the U.S., the U.K., and now in Ireland, and of all the places we’ve stayed over the last couple of years, this one is our hands-down favorite! The hosts, Kelli and Bobby, are warm and welcoming, and very quick to respond to any questions or needs that arise. We felt we were in very good hands. The cottage is convenient to Drumshanbo, of course, but also a short drive from Leitrim Village and Carrick-On-Shannon, and not too far from Ballinamore either. We spent quite a lot of time driving the area, but we were always happy to come back to the little cottage on the Slip Road! Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed!

The Canal House & Canal Cottage have been situated at the edge of Lough Allen since before the 1900s. Unfortunately, they remained derelict for several years prior to our renovation efforts.

Having now restored the properties to their former glory, with a modern touch, they are once again able to stand proudly at the mouth of the Lough.
