A hidden gem for those who value peace, authenticity and the restorative power of nature🌲 Simple, Sustainable & Authentic Living
Escape to a peaceful cabin surrounded by forest, wildlife, and the quiet beauty of Swedish Lapland.
🏡 THE CABIN • 40 m² traditional forest cabin with 5 beds • Wood-burning stove with heat-retaining masonry for warmth and a cozy atmosphere • Private wood-fired lakeside sauna – perfect for relaxation (2 sauna sessions per week included) • Kitchen equipped with a gas stove • Solar-powered lighting and USB charging for mobile devices • Towels, bed linen, pillows and duvets included • Eco-friendly outhouse toilet with urine separation and insulated seat • Pets are warmly welcome • Better rates for stays of 4 nights or longer
🌿 PEACE, NATURE & WILDLIFE
Nature is your closest neighbour here.
From the cabin’s veranda, you can watch birds, squirrels, hares and sometimes reindeer wandering through the surrounding forest. This is a place to disconnect from everyday stress, slow down, and experience the simplicity of life close to nature.
🌿 THE EXPERIENCE • Secluded location in the forest beside a small lake • Private wood-fired sauna by the water • Hiking, walking, cycling, and nature trails nearby • Experience the wildlife and the eight traditional Sámi seasons • Swimming, berry picking, and mushroom foraging during summer and autumn • Northern Lights, snow-covered landscapes, and winter activities during winter and spring
💦 THE SAUNA
A traditional wood-fired sauna is included twice per week.
The sauna is heated separately for each session and is not intended to remain heated throughout the day. A typical Nordic sauna experience lasts 1–2 hours.
A 20-litre water tank is heated by the stove while the sauna warms up. Warm water is used for washing in traditional wash basins, while the steam creates a relaxing and authentic atmosphere.
The sauna stands directly beside the lake, making it easy to enjoy a refreshing swim before returning to the warmth.
Tip: Bring some hot water back to the cabin after your sauna session for washing dishes.
🌱 OFF-GRID & SUSTAINABLE
The cabin operates with a strong focus on sustainability and circular living: • Lake water or fresh tap water stored in stainless steel containers • Energy-efficient wood-burning heating • Solar-powered lighting and LED lamps • Traditional wood-fired sauna • Composting of food waste • Recycled and restored furniture with a charming retro character
We follow the REconnect philosophy:
Repair • Reuse • Recycle
Our wood stoves are operated using the Scandinavian “Top-Down Burning” method, which provides efficient heating, minimal smoke, and reduced environmental impact.

My friend and I had a fantastic time there.
Everything was as we had imagined it: quiet, simple and natural.
Lena is an incredibly warm and uncomplicated host who was always helpful and impressed us with her knowledge of nature.
The isolation and peace on a private lake, with just ourselves and nature, meant that we were able to completely forget about everyday life and focus on what is important in life.

❣️I am so impressed by you, melting snow for water and chopping wood like real Nattavaaraby-people! Your Christina-snow heart is still in the snow❣️

Really impressed for bringing water from the icehole every day during a week! And also very good cleaning of snow around cabin.
You had lots of different experiences as snowfall as well as sunny days, cold temperatures, reindeers and aurora.
Welcome back anytime!
We stayed there for two weeks in March. The place is perfect to slow down and connect with the nature. It’s surrounded by beautiful nature and has a rustic charme. Our host was very helpful with any matters we had and super friendly. We’ll most certainly return. We’re very glad, we’ve found this place. Thanks for all!

I was really nice to meet you! One of my goals are exactly to let people take some steps backwards from the modern life. And find out the simple life in a forest cabin still can be comfortable.
believe it is important to reconnect to the nature. Welcome back at anytime!
Me and my girlfriend were on the Kungsleden and were looking for a quiet place to regain strength.
I found the dreamlike cabine by the lake in Nattaavaara quickly on the internet.
Once there, we were able to relax and regain our strength with sauna and fishing opportunities.
The service of the hosts, as well as the friendliness were just great. They took so good care of us and showed us a old swedish tradition. Everyone who is looking for peace and quiet has come to the right place there.
Thanks for the good service.
Greetings from Germany
