Bonnet Shores Rhode Island

We love this location and have stayed in this rental for four years. Already booked for next year. There is so much to do in this area. Walking and biking as well as several beaches are all within easy reach. Newport is only 15 minutes away.

We loved Kelly Beach. It was more lovely than pictures represented. We dropped off our group at the drop off point and the driver rode one of the provided bikes back to join up. House was very comfortable. We would stay again.

This property delivers!

Our group of 10 found this property met our needs and then some. Central air, full laundry, big dining room open to large living room. Kitchen is well appointed. Deck provided seating for all. Four good size bedrooms; two baths; outdoor shower. Quiet area.

Great family stay

Our family of ten enjoyed a great week at this property. The house was very comfortable and provided everything we needed from linens and towels to chairs and bikes. We loved Kelly Beach and morning walks along the water at the end of the street. Bonnet Shores is lovely!

Love this house and the area is great for walking and biking. Kelly Beach is not too far and it's a great beach for kids. Many good restaurants in the near vicinity as well.

Great Stay

Excellent property and the owners exceptionally hospitable. The home was extremely well stocked, supplied and usable. We really enjoyed the house, the neighborhood, the hosts, the beach, the restaurants in the neighborhood, and our stay. Hope I can stay again sometime. Thanks Paula and Ray.

First Rental - couldn't have picked a better home

We couldn't have asked for a better house to stay in for the week at Bonnet Shores. The house was super clean and it was a perfect set up; open floor plan, spacious bedrooms and in a great neighborhood. Perfect house for a young family.

Perfect home away from home

Very spacious and clean. Paula and Ray's home had pretty much everything you need and fairly close to it all. Not too far from Newport either. Opting to stay outside of Newport exceeded our expectations. Thank you!

Great time in Bonnet Shores

The property was in a quiet neighborhood, but close to everything. Well stocked and very clean home. The only downside was sound does carry in the house, but you get use to the house sounds after a couple of days. I wish I booked for 2 weeks!!

great stay at Bonnet Shores

This was my first rental through VRBO and it was pretty painless. Working with Ray and Paula Fernandez was great!. When we checked in the house was spotless; you could smell the "clean". We're Rhode Islanders and are familiar w the area and neighboring beaches and amenities. There was plenty of room in the house for our grown children, their spouses and 6 grand children. When the central air went on the blink, Ray and Paula were right there with an HVAC service and had it repaired within hours. Plenty of kitchen supplies and linens in addition to a quiet, relaxing neighborhood. We would definitely consider renting again from the Fernandezs'. Very nice people!

Fabulous Vacation

I would highly recommend this property there was not one thing that was missing thank you so much. I grew up in Bonnet Shores since I’ve been 2 years old . My sisters both have homes here I stay here for the month of August .I rented this house for my children and their children .there were four adults and two children plenty plenty of room😁👍

Great House in Bonnet Shores

This is a wonderful house for a large group. The 8 of us (5 in their 60s and 2 in their 30s) had plenty of space to gather and to also have quiet time alone. The house was clean, with a well equipped kitchen as well as beach chairs, bikes, umbrellas etc. Great walk by the harbor every evening and short rides to Kelly Beach and Narragansett. Paula has been great to work with. Highly recommend.

Home away from home

Our Bonnet home anyway from home. This is our 3rd year staying at this home and it gets harder and harder to leave every time. Home is always immaculate well stocked on kitchen needs, bed linens and towels. Back porch is my favorite spot in the house. Many mornings and nights spent out there. Home is close to everything RI. Already booked again for next year. We can’t wait!

Family week at the beach

Overall, we had a fabulous vacation at this property. It is our 3rd trip to Narragansett and this has been our favorite house so far. Plenty of space, very clean, quiet neighborhood. We did have a minor issue with getting code to enter the house, but after a phone call Paula was quick to respond and very helpful throughout the whole process. I will have to say the only negative feedback I would give is to be careful of the area rugs & runners, they were slippery, and we did have younger kids, but that could be fixed real quick with a little carpet tape! Overall, we had a great family vacation and will be renting here again!

Rent this place

What a wonderful, clean place to stay. The pictures posted discribed the place perfectly. Highly recommend this listing. We stayed here last week and even though the weather did not cooperate, we had plenty of room to hang out in the house. The Kitchen was great, plenty of sleeping space and the washer and dryer was used everyday. The house is perfectly located in Narragansett and just 10 minutes away from the town beach and shopping. When it rained we found that Newport RI and Mystic CT are close by for indoor activites. I would recommend taking the ferry to Block Island. It was my favorite part of the whole vacation. I would absolutely come back to Paula's place if we come back to Rhode Island.

Great house for family friendly vacation and we love Bonnet Shores!

We loved our vacation in this house! The owners were wonderful and the house had everything we needed. Bonnet Shores is a great place to spend a summer vacation with a young family, we went to the private beach and also did day trips to Newport, bike trails, and Narraganset center. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that you need to walk over a mile or get a ride on the shuttle to the beach. We parked at a friend's house so it didn't impact us but if you have small children you should be aware of that. Also, it would have been more convenient to have a gas grill instead of charcoal. Paula and Ray, we will probably rent from you again in the future! We loved the redone kitchen, spacious great room, deck, and clean comfortable bedrooms. Thank you!

Great house in Bonnet Shores

We just came back from our weeklong stay at this property. The house was very clean. Bed linens were comfortable. The house is stocked with Keurig coffee maker, air fryer, and all the cooking implements you need. Bonnet Shores is a fantastic and quiet neighborhood. This location is on the end of the bonnet opposite from Kelley beach. Great location to walk and take in the beautiful ocean scenery including views of the Newport Bridge. We got dropped off by a family member when we wanted to use Kelley beach as it is too far with the kids to walk but this is not a problem at all. We used that beach as a supplement to our favorite Scarborough state beach which you have to drive to anyway. This house has an open kitchen dining room living room concept which is fantastic for family time. Four good size bedrooms and two fairly recently updated bathrooms. Paula is a fantastic host and responds immediately to any issues that could arise. Look no further for a comfortable clean house in a quiet location close to beautiful views of the ocean.

Beautiful neighborhood, responsive hosts, decent house

Overall, we had a nice stay but likely wouldn’t rent again. The hosts were great communicators, followed through on questions and inquiries, and provided a binder of information about the house, community, and local area which definitely goes a long way! The cost of the rental is appropriate for the location and amenities available. Nothing is “make or break” in isolation but we were disappointed with the overall quality of furnishings and supplies from bed mattresses and linens to kitchen supplies and seating options in the living room. Some mattresses were comfortable and others were nearly unbearable. Cheap, crinkly mattress protectors and low quality pillows dressed every bed. The living room couches were cozy but there weren’t enough lounge seats. The kitchen was stocked with many appliances (blender, Keurig, electric can opener, toaster, toaster oven, drip coffee maker) and gadgets for eating seafood and mixing cocktails but completely missed the mark on essentials like a decent, full set of (dry) measuring cups, measuring spoons, and quality chef knives in good condition. A second wooden cutting board and replacing the scratched, non-stick frying pans with stainless steel or cast iron options wouldn’t hurt either! We enjoyed stroller rides in the neighborhood after dinner and bike rides to Kelly Beach. The community is very quaint and beautiful and the house is close to many local attractions. Wonderful Home and Property!

This house was perfect for our large party of eight. The home was clean with huge open concept living/dining areas. The kitchen is modern and was very well stocked. (The island was great for setting up breakfast/dinner buffets.) The large dining table was also handy for game playing. The outside deck was perfect for morning coffee, afternoon cocktails and meals. The bedrooms are located downstairs which made it easy to get a quiet moment when needed. TV viewers will be happy to find a large TV in the living room and additional smaller TVs in the bedrooms. The two bathrooms are large and conveniently located. (Linens and towels were a great plus.) The outside shower was fun and prevented bathroom congestion after returning from the beach. The choice of beaches was a wonderful bonus. We loved Little Beach for morning walks. Kelly beach is beautiful, clean and close. The short drive to Narragansett Beach made it easy to do drop offs/pick ups and avoid parking fees. The house location is also convenient to many shopping and dining options. Finally, thanks to Paula! She was really great to work with. She was quick to respond to any questions and really made us feel that she was invested in our having a great vacation. I highly recommend this house for a stay in Narragansett.
