About this property

Historic Farmhouse in the quaint and beautiful Village of Troutbeck, Windermere

Low House Farm dates from the 1600’s, and was possibly the first ever holiday let in Troutbeck - from the summer of 1938, the grandparents and family of the current owners spent holidays here as tenants. Now, over 80 years later, the owners have opened up this much loved, Grade II listed family home to share with guests looking for an authentic taste of Lakeland life. Full of character and boasting some original features, this former farmhouse sits in an elevated spot, enjoying extensive rural views.
Flagstone floors, beamed ceilings and oak floorboards, offer a taste of the properties history. Low House Farm offers a truly original home from home. Centrally located in Troutbeck village, the great outdoors is on your doorstep, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hot spots. Troutbeck offers a quiet and peaceful area, from which to relax and unwind. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
Nearest train station: Windermere 3.2 miles
