La Ferme des Praz Apartment is a large well-located Chamonix apartment sleeping 8 with 4 bedrooms (3 twin / double and 1 bunk bedroom) and is situated adjacent to the Flegere cable car in Les Praz, just 2.5km from Chamonix itself. There are two bathrooms and one additional WC. La Ferme des Praz Apartment has a large, open-plan living room centred around a log fire, dining table and chairs to seat 8, and a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. There is a TV with French & some international channels and a DVD/Blueray player with access to netflix., There is a large balcony that stretches along the length of the apartment and is accessed via two of the bedrooms and the lounge also. The balcony of this Chamonix apartment overlooks the golf course and you can also check out the Flegere cable car from there. There is plenty of public parking available at the Flegere cable car and in the surrounding area too. In the basement of the building there is a ski locker, as well as a washing machine and dryer.

Good stay

Brilliantly located apartment, slightly dated decor but perfectly comfortable and well equipped, good information and communication with hosts who are easy to deal with and respond quickly to messages. Hope to stay again.

La Praz appartement

Lovely clean and comfortable appartement in a very good location close to the lift and ski bus. Nice quiet village with, but very good bars and restaurants. Customer services when we had to ring them were extremely helpful.

Excellent Stay in La Praz

Fantastic apartment in an excellent location just opposite Flegere Tele-Cabin. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and perfect for our stay in Chamonix La Praz. Chamonix All Year were excellent in arranging our Ski Hire at short notice and communication with them was very efficient and seamless. Will definitely recommend both Chamonix All Year and the apartment.

A nicely appointed appartment right next to the Flégère gondola and ski bus stop with mountain view

It's a lovely apartment with an excellent location. I'm also impressed with the checking-in process and the customer service I received during my stay. The only negative point is the ski storage room, which is down in the basement (difficult to walk down/up with ski boots) and does not have a lot of space (or a ski rack).

Comfortable apartment and good location

The place was nice and well equipped. The only two negative points were the price that we paid, which was very expensive even if we stayed during a busy week with the Marathon du Mont Blanc, and the soaps offered which were made in China. I'm sure it's possible to find cheap soaps made in France (but please not with Palm oil).

top location, Cham All Year team is excellent

The location is perfect, walk to gondola, bus, train, cafes in a couple of minutes. The apartment was very comfortable for our family group of 6 adults. Whilst not spectacular mountain views from inside, nice windows looking out on the street from 2nd floor (Brits would call it 1st floor, ie one up from ground), though the bunk room only has a window to the apartment stairwell, not the outside proper, so less bright and ventilated than the other three bedrooms. Kitchen well equipped - we cooked 7 breakfasts and 2 suppers with ease. The lounge/dining is full of solid furniture so feels cramped, but was fine. Laundry doubles as a ski room, ski boots dried there with the boiler, unless they were extremely wet (yay we had a couple of powder days). Parking right across the street was mostly easy, be aware that the Flegere car park is so small that during lift-running hours it overflows to the surrounding streets. Cham All Year team is excellent, great communication and sent their very good maintenance man one evening to fix a heating glitch. Just a couple of penny pinching items let them down, perhaps specific to this apartment owner: the heating was off when we arrived and the apartment very cold, no real instructions on how to ignite it - CAY should drop by the day before to turn on and warm things up. The wifi was woeful 4Mbs day and night. CAY claimed that this was due to congestion in a busy Chamonix week, but if that were so then middle of the night 2-4am it would improve, but it didn't. The owner simply needs to pay for a decent plan. We drained all our mobile data plans. I would rent the apartment again. I would definitely rent with CAY again, they were excellent.

Hi Michael; thank you for writing us a review! We are glad you and your group enjoyed the apartment and its environment - and some great snow by the sounds of it. We were happy to hear that our Maintenance Team managed to sort the heating issue quickly for you - our Cleaning Managers always turn the heating on ahead of guest arrivals so that the property is warm before you check in, but unfortunately as you know there seemed to have been a technical issue which we were able to sort. We include instructions for the heating in the property specifics - apologies if that was not easy to access. Unfortunately for us when Chamonix is full in the holidays the Wi-Fi does slow down considerably - even late at night and the Wi-Fi although we are sorry to hear that you drained your 4G. We are in the process of updating our properties to Fibre, but being in a valley means it takes longer than usual. We hope to be able to welcome you back again soon so that you can enjoy some more powder days and come home to a warm apartment!

An overall great experience living at La Ferme des Praz appt for a week

The property is located at an excellent location away from the crowds but near to pubs and restaurants if you fancy a night out. The ski lifts are right around the corner that take you to one of the best piste of Chamonix as well as stores for renting equipment. The customer service guy was there to meet us on time with a cheerful attitude and very helpful answering all our questions. We had a minor issue with the heating but as soon as we mentioned it he worked it out. The apartment was spacious, clean and tidy and had more than enough necessities to cook, eat and just chill around the fireplace. Overall it was a great experience and i recommend it to any group of friends.

Attractive apartment but poor location.

Property is very far out of Chamonix centre and bus service stops at 8pm. Very difficult to access apres ski even on NYE. Unfriendly neighbours. Very little help/info from Rep, left waiting for a while outside property on arrival despite giving good notice of arrival time.

We're sorry that the location of this apartment didn't suit you for going in to Chamonix, there is a night bus in the evenings although it's true it is less regular than during the day. We do think the location is great though for families or groups who are skiing in winter or hiking in summer and we hope future guests will look at the other comments to help them make up their minds. There is also après ski in the new Castel bar / restaurant / hotel opposite the apartment for extra convenience! We do hope to see you back again in the future and would be happy to recommend a more central property to suit your preference.

Amazing stay at Chamonix

Very beautiful place! We all enjoy the panorama on mountains from the Windows of our rooms! The property is very nice and comfortable. Perfect location to go hiking, biking, shopping...

A great family holiday

The accommodation was well located centrally for skiing up and down the Valley. We also took a lovely evening stroll along the river (20 mins) into Chamonix for dinner one evening- brilliant. Very well stocked kitchen and comfortable apartment.

Très bien

L'appartement est lumineux, spacieux, pratique et confortable. Belle décoration. La cuisine est bien équipée (il manquait juste une paire de ciseaux et un bon couteau à éplucher). Dommage que certains d'entre nous aient été piqués dans les lits. Vous avez réagi très vite et efficacement. Merci. Ceux qui n' ont pas été piqués avaient des protège-matelas imperméables. Peut être est-ce une prévention utile. Dans l ensemble, nous avons passé un bon séjour malgré le manque de neige.

Merci pour votre témoignage. Nous n’avons jamais eu de problème de piqures dans les lits auparavant et sommes navrés que vous ayez eu ce problème lors de votre séjour. Toutefois nous prenons bonne note de votre remarque pour les protèges matelas imperméables. Tous les oreillers ont été désormais remplacés et l’appartement ainsi que les couettes et matelas ont été traités de fond en comble, ce qui devrait avoir réglé le problème durablement. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez passé néanmoins un bon séjour et espérons pouvoir vous accueillir de nouveau prochainement à Chamonix.

Nice place

It is a charming and well maintained apartment. Everything was clean and in order when we arrived. The beds are a bit small for people bigger than 1.85m but comfortable. The wifi is slow when there are more than 4 people using it. We will definitely come back.
