40th Birthday Weekend
We stayed here as part of my friend’s 40th birthday and had a brilliant time. The house is lovely, set on three levels and well equipped. The beds are incredibly comfortable with all white linen and big fluffy white towels in both bathrooms. The master bedroom is very spacious and the bathroom with the roll top bath a real treat. The kitchen is large and well equipped and the lounge with log burner very cosy. The WiFi is good which is a bonus as there is absolutely no mobile signal being so far out in the country. Only two small issues, there was a small tried blood mark on the linen in the master bedroom and a leak in the bedroom dormer window which was causing a damp patch on the carpet that was creating a bit of a smell. We would definitely recommend Stable End cottage as home from home when staying in the Lake District
