Great location

The apartment is in a great location, within walking distance of everything including the beach, no car required if you do not plan on touring anywhere other than Quarteira. Security is very good, key/fob access to building and key lock with deadbolts for apartment door. Property management was very responsive to all our requests. When we arrived there was no coffee machine or toaster, the property manager delivered new appliances the following morning. The small freezer had been turned off and then turned on, causing all the melted ice to refreeze on the shelves. Maintenance came to clean out the ice so that we could use the freezer. Property management noted that the appliances needed upgrading and was to notify the owner and we agree. This appears to be an older apartment that needs upgrades. Some of the wood trim has water damage, the blackout drapes need repairing or replacement and the chair in the living area has seen better days. The only other issue, was that there is no fan in the bathroom to air it out after a shower, resulting in a lot of steam and some mildew on the tile walls. Considering these points, we feel the price was a little high. We stayed 4 weeks and had changes of bedding and towels every 4 to 5 or so days, excellent service! The bed was very comfortable, lots of closet space and the deck is a great spot for eating breakfast and dinner. Overall a good experience.
