Amazing!

What a beautiful cottage. Had everything you could wish for, was spotless throughout and our little dog Toby settled down immediately, he felt very at home. Slept like babies in the most large comfy bed. Will we be back, you can put your money on it. Thank You!

So glad I found this!

This cottage was absolutely ideal for our short break. The quality of information from the owners was excellent, and the location couldn’t be better (as it happens, very near our bus stop — we got a bus almost door-to-door from our home in York). The cottage is comfortable, well furnished and well equipped, with a special mention for the plentiful and luxurious towels. Definitely recommended!

We are John and Julie. We are married with 3 sons. We have lived in beautiful North Yorkshire for 20+ years. We love to travel, we love music, we love cycling and eating.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Bluebird Cottage as soon as we walked in. It has the central location we wanted, so we can walk to pubs and restaurants. It is also full of character and charm, being a listed cottage built in the late 1780s. It is really snug and we knew we would love spending time there. We also love Pickering itself, as well as using it as a base to visit nearby places such as Dalby Forest, the North Yorks Moors and the fabulous Yorkshire coast.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is really well located in the heart of Pickering: a short walk to the shops, pubs, restaurants, castle, and steam railway. There are parking bays at the front of the cottage (on a first come basis). It has kept all its character, with beamed ceilings, hand-made sash windows, a stable kitchen door, stone walls on the exterior and inside the kitchen, with a log burner and cosy courtyard garden with covered seating,
