This beautiful old stone mill is in a magnificent setting, by a millstream, pond, other heritage buildings -- and a short walk to the sea. The Little Mill itself is lightfilled, spacious, comfortable and with a well equipped kitchen and cozy fireplace. Our host Moya was most helpful ad accommodating. The bonus is the bevy of peacocks. A stay here is enchanting and enchanted!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The setting is truly special—peaceful, scenic, and just steps from a stunning stretch of coastline. The beach and surrounding views were breathtaking, and it was the perfect place to relax and take in the natural beauty of Scotland. The location couldn’t have been better. It felt tucked away and quiet, yet it was incredibly central to so many places we wanted to explore. We were able to easily visit nearby towns, historic sites, and enjoy day trips without long drives. The home itself was charming, comfortable, and well cared for, everything we needed for a seamless stay. It struck a perfect balance between cozy and spacious, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.Overall, this was one of those rare places that exceeds expectations. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and well-located retreat in Scotland.
Maybe a wee protection should be added on the wooden pilars upstairs to avoid wee dogs to fall. The owner nicely came to welcome us.Everything was great.Lovely visits from the local peacocks and geese.
The home is tastefully decorated with all amenities needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The short walk to the cliffs was beautiful and the view breathtaking. Thank you for making this a memorable experience!
We had an amazing time here. So close to so many great attractions, with its own incredible view from the beach. Such a charming property, and we loved meeting the peacock friends.
Our host Moya was delightful. The mill house is beautifully furnished and coming back there in the evening felt like coming home. Firewood was provided as were snacks. The beach area is dramatic to see. We wish we could have visited in the summer to be able to properly enjoy it. Lastly the property has a few surprises we weren't expecting. We counted nine of them. :) Such a treat getting to stay at this place and hope to come back. Thank you Moya!
We had a lovely stay at the mill. We found the host responsive, warm and welcoming and the property very convenient to costal exploration and access to amenities.
Character plus comfort with magnificent views a short walk away. Plenty of challenging and beautiful walks in the area and a treat to return to the tranquility of Little Mill at the end of the day.
Great location with easy access to stores and out door activities. Thomas was there to greet us and was more than accommodating. They have a wonderful grill down on the beach. Make sure you cook down there at least once. Our son loved it! Memories of a lifetime.
Beautiful location away from all of the crazy touristy congestion. We wanted to see Scotland as the locals do, to enjoy it's beauty. That's exactly what we got! And the hosts are so warm and welcoming!! We just love this place and plan on returning!
Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner and our dog. We had an amazing time! The Mill itself is beautiful and well equipped and its surroundings are absolutely stunning. We could not recommend the place enough if you are looking for a quiet getaway (so long as you don't mind peacocks. Haha!) with lots of local walks. The host Moya was very lovely, helpful and welcoming. With lots of local knowledge. We would definitely stay again.
