Former convent of the Sisters of Providence, on the sunny side of Val d'Azun, it is a magnificent house with blue shutters, in the heart of the village of Arras en Lavedan, facing the mountains, 700 meters above sea level.
In front of the house, a beautiful meadow opens onto an exceptional, unique panorama. Everything is harmonious. To the east, the Hautacam ridges, to the south, the Gavarnie and Cauterets valleys, to the west, the Soulor and Ausbique passes.
5 minutes away, the quiet village of Argelès-Gazost, its market, its thermal baths. At 1/4 hour, Lake Estaing, at the gates of the Pyrenees National Park.

This is great house in a beautiful area. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend for 2 or 3 families looking to explore the French Pyrenees.Thanks to our very friendly host, who helped us with local recommendations.

La maison est située dans un environnement très agréable à proximité de sites de randonnée remarquables. La vue depuis le jardin est vraiment exceptionnelle. L’espace extérieur est soigné et plaisant, même s’il est partagé avec les propriétaires – un point qui aurait eu le mérite d’être précisé dans l’annonce.Concernant l’hébergement en lui-même, la propreté laissait à désirer et la maison, bien que pleine de caractère, mériterait un sérieux rafraîchissement. Le dortoir sous les toits était inutilisable en raison de la canicule (plus de 32C le soir dans la chambre), ce qui a fortement limité la capacité de couchage. Enfin, concernant le barbecue, à notre arrivée la grille n’avait pas été nettoyée et nous ne disposions pas d’ustensiles pour l’utiliser mais nous avons pu nous en sortir…L’accueil et la communication avec le propriétaire ont été très appréciés, avec un petit cadeau de bienvenue que nous avons savouré !

Merci pour votre appréciation. Désolé pour le barbecue, j'avais zappé. Par contre, il s'agit d'une vielle maison, pas facile à nettoyer. Elle mériterait peut-être un rafraichissement, mais nous ne voulons surtout pas que ce rafraichissement lui enlève son charme... Ceci étant, c'est promis, nous serons plus vigilants pour les araignées qui font peur aux enfants.

Belle et accueillante demeure pour une joyeuse réunion de famille

Cette maison est parfaite, chacun y trouve son coin, les studieux, les paresseux, les bébé joueurs de ping-pong, les "si on buvait l'apéro"....La vallée est magnifique avec quelques lacs très accessibles.Merci pour ce beau lieu!

Les propriétaires ont été très gentil quant à l'accueil (cadeaux de bienvenue, détail d'arrivée, lits faits... ) Leur présence est tres discrète et surtout agréable : très disponible à nous proposer des balades adaptées à notre situation. Gite tres agréable : tout est fait pour recevoir 14 personnes. Village tres joli, boulangerie à 5 min a pied. Literie tres confortable. A recommander sans aucun problème.
