Lower Cottage, double room

Lower Cottage is a double, open plan apartment with a king size bed & separate bathroom with high quality fittings, a kitchenette, table & chairs and a sofa area with a TV. In the kitchenette there is a fridge freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster for you to make light snacks!
The Queens is a freehold, family run pub set in the heart of the historic town of Ludlow. Tim & Jane have been at The Queens since December 1999 and in that time have adapted and renovated the premises extensively. We have been in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide for three consecutive years and serve good local ales.

Our beautiful vaulted ceiling restaurant is at the rear of the pub. Our open plan design means you have a good atmosphere throughout, but the restaurant is set back from the bar to allow quieter dining. We serve good, homemade food which is locally sourced where possible. The restaurant is open lunchtimes & evenings 6 days a week.

The Queens has an ‘Open Plan’ design with three distinct areas that merge nicely together. The ‘Red’ bar has a tiled area where dogs are welcome and comfy leather sofas for you to relax on. The main bar has solid oak flooring and low beamed ceilings which give a cosy atmosphere. This flows, down a couple of steps, into our beautiful, vaulted roof restaurant.

Please note that due to the current Covid situation we are unable to provide parking as we have erected a marquee on our car parking area. This is for people who feel more comfortable outside.

A Lovely Stay

The accommodation was even better than it looked in the photos on the website. We stayed in the lower cottage for two nights and the room was clean, comfortable and very stylish. There was everything that you needed in the kitchen if you wanted to eat in the room including fresh milk, biscuits and a microwave and there were lots of personal touches throughout. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food and service were excellent. Jane also went out of her way to make us feel welcome.

Could not have picked a better place to stay in Ludlow

We stayed for two nights for a friend's wedding. The accommodation is centrally located & finished to a very high standard. We appreciated having a kitchen & seating area. This was just the right size and gave us somewhere to relax. The bathroom had a lovely big bath, & a shower also. The first morning we used the breakfast vouchers in the café, and the second morning we had the continental breakfast delivered to our room, which was more than plentiful. Jane was very helpful & friendly. Perfect.

Beautiful room, disappointing, slow service

The room was beautiful, I would have liked a bit more privacy as the doors were all glass and were overlooked by the garden. We sat with friends and felt a bit on show as a lot of customers were looking in. It was ok as we were only talking obviously but it still felt a bit off.
