Lovely lodges in a peaceful environment.
Clean and well appointed lodges. Not too crowded and lodges well-placed so as not to feel overlooked. Lovely natural surroundings with lakes, birds and wildflowers. Great hot tub! Good BBQ. Nice terrace to sit out on. We enjoyed fishing in the lakes. Would be nice to have more environmentally friendly toiletries maybe in a refillable dispenser? I brought my own so only a small niggle, I just thought the single use products seemed a bit out of keeping with the rest of the vibe.

Second visit to Gold Oak Farm and it won't be the last
Celebrated with friends for their 60th birthdays, perfect stay to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings. The lodges are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The fresh bread and cake were also welcomed. We all throughly enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing and peaceful few days!
The quietness. The fact you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but actually you aren’t too far away from things/places.

Absolutely perfect relaxing stay, much needed! Beautiful lodges, with everything you need and more!
A real gem! Beautiful surroundings, lodge was beautiful and spotless , loved the welcome cake and bread. Hot tub was a dream. I can’t fault anything, I can’t express enough how wonderful our stay was. The personal customer service by the owners, John, Debbie and Tom was above and beyond, I have never experienced such brilliant customer service, they made you feel so welcome. I just wished we could have stayed longer… we will be back! Highly recommend.

Gold Oak Farm has been owned by the Butler family for around 100 years now. In the old days it was a small fixed farm with all the work done with horses and manual labour.

The first tractor arrived on the farm in about 1950. Around that time the family started selling fresh milk door to door around the local villages. In 1986 the farm changed and became more people focused, the dairy buildings were converted into stables and the close fields are used for horses to graze on. The existing ponds were added and extended to form the basis of the day ticket coarse fishery. In 2008 the decision was taken to apply for planning permission to build luxury holiday log cabins around the lakes.

Construction of 4 Lodges started 2010 with our first guests visiting us in September 2011. We now have 10 spaced out luxury Lodges with a huge emphasis on rest and relaxation. We are very laid back hosts and will go out of our way to help you chill out. We continue to be and always will be a family business.
