Love the house. Large rooms. We didn’t feel cramped. Had lots of room to relax in our own spaces. Our crew totaled 12. Well stocked kitchen. Had everything we needed for cooking. Spent most of our time on the large dock swimming. Our family loved our time there.
We found everything we needed and more. It was nice to have kayaks and a paddle board as well. Also, it was great not to have so many steps to negotiate trying to get to the water!
Everywhere we went we met someone from Ohio! Great place to spend a vacation!
We had a great time with our family. We all said we would like to come back sometime. We rented a pontoon for 3 days. Granddaughters and boyfriends enjoyed swimming sun bathing and fishing and tubing. All in all one of the very best vacations ever
Very nice house with a lot of room for our whole family. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The walk to the water was not to hard and the dock was great! The kids spent so much time playing and swimming off the dock. We had a great week. Thanks!
We had a large group (16) stay at this property and we couldn't have been happier. The lot provides a very easy walk down to the water and the large dock is perfect for swimming or kayaking. We had 3 boats tied up all week and it worked out very well. in addition to the boats, we had enough space for 3 trailers parked out front. The pictures of the home do not do it justice as the rooms sizes are very large and the kitchen was extremely well-equipped. If you haven't visited the Davis Creek area, you certainly should. There is plenty of calm water nearby for tubing, skiing, etc. The communication from the owner was exceptional and the entire experience was great. I highly recommend this property!
I almost hate to give this property five stars just so I can keep it to myself! We have stayed at Norris Lake and never had a house without several steps or a steep hill from the house to the lake. This was perfect!! My daughter in law is 7 month pregnant and had no trouble getting to the lake and back. The kitchen was well stocked. Outdoor chairs, grill, patios, and fire pit were well accommodating. But let’s talk about the dock!!! It was huge and included a very nice sun shade as well as a trash can! Our family spent countless hours on the dock and it was big enough for everyone to relax without being on top of each other. I had a few questions for Karl, the property manager and he was immediate with his responses. We even missed the trash pick up due to the holiday and Karl arranged for pick up. We will definitely visit again!
Everything about the property is just what we needed to enjoy our Thanksgiving with family. Kitchen had everything we needed for our feast! House was clean, super cozy and room for everyone to just hang out and relax. The lake was gorgeous even though it was down for winter the boys were still able to catch a few fish. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the view…this is definitely worth the trip
Loved the location of this property. Short distance of no wake zone until you can pick up speed if you are into boating. Best place I have stayed for minimal number of stairs to get down to the lake. Nice quiet neighborhood. We had a boat and 4 jet skis and there was plenty of room at the nice large dock. The only drawback I had was virtually no AT&T cellular signal at the house.
This was our first time visiting Lake Norris. Our trip was to celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary. The house was wonderful for our family of 13. The house had everything you might need. Many thanks for letting us rent your home.
This was our second stay at this property. It was perfect for our family once again. Plenty of room in the house, spacious dock, gorgeous property. Excellent communication with the owner. I highly recommend it. Thanks so much!!
The house was perfect for Thanksgiving. The guys loved being able to fish off the dock. There were plenty of bathrooms. The WiFi was sketchy because of how remote you are but we considered that a sign to unplug. The initial weather caused a bit of a muddy mess but what do you expect in the woods. Overall a great place to spend Thanksgiving.
Very clean and spacious. Large bedrooms, two living areas. Perfect for our 11 ranging from almost 2 to 64! Once you experience the large dock, anything else will be too cramped! We pretty much hung out there during the days, bringing lunch and snacks down. We brought our runabout with us, so tubed and cruised, plus swimming, dive competitions, chalk drawing, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, used the shelf of cut 2x4’s to build and set up across the dock to knock down domino-style. Very relaxing at night too, unless you’re up using the fire pit. 😊
Everyone wants to come back!!! Everyone wanted to stay an extra week!!
nice, comfortable house with large rooms, plenty of bathrooms and wonderful deck on deep water cove. House was very well equipped with everything you need. Road to house is very narrow and not the most fun to drive on, however, the end result was worth it. Closest grocery store 11 miles away and really no close restaurants to speak of, but this is a great location/place to stay if you want to spend all your time on the water. owner was great and very responsive!
This was our first time to Norris Lake. It was an amazing vacation and this home was perfect for our extended family. So much space, beautiful views, plenty of beds, clean home and everything we needed. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, lots of outside chairs, large fire pit and the wonderful large dock. No steep walk down to the lake! Owner was easy to communicate with and very accomodating. Thank you so much for letting us use your home. We hope to be back next year!

Upgrades needed
All in all we had a great time, however, some upgrades are needed: The bedroom downstairs with the bunk beds - those beds are terrible. It was like sleeping on the floor on a pallet. Also, those beds were not made up when we arrived and we had to hunt for sheets...and no pillow cases were found.
The downstairs was extremely cold...good thing it wasn't really cold on our stay. As it was, coats were worn unless in bed and the kiddos couldn't play down there.
The dishwasher had to be unloaded when we got there, which was no big deal as we left when the dishwasher was running.

Property was beautiful!
Communication with the owner was great before during and after our stay. House is fully stocked and very accommodating. Cove is quiet and the dock was great for two boats and still enough room for the kids to swim. Definitely going back.

Awesome lake house and location
I have stayed at this property several times and have never been disappointed. It is well-maintained and spacious enough for large groups of guests. Access to Norris Lake is convenient.
I would recommend this property to anyone!!
About the host
Hosted by Karl Riser
Hello, the owners of this beautiful 4 bedroom + Bunk Room lake front home is made up of 4 families who all enjoyed boating and spending time together over the years. We rented at Norris Lake for many years, since our college days and when this house became available we jumped at the opportunity to form a partnership and purchase this home. With 4 bedrooms and the added space of the Bunk Room, each family had their own space and seeing that it had no steps to the lake we fell in love with it. Our kids have spent their whole childhoods here every summer and have made great memories. We hope your family and friends can enjoy it also and create many wonderful memories of your own.
Why they chose this property
The house you will see through the many photos shown, offers 4 spacious bedrooms, a Bunk Room to accommodate up to 16 and two large living rooms. So after a family game of spoons around the large dining room table or a game of family charades, the adults and kids have their separate places to go and bond. The house also is located deep in a cove up Davis Creek, where you will enjoy a very peaceful relaxed area. It is truly a Calm Cove.
What makes this property unique
The biggest reason in staying at this property is not because of the spacious room you have in the house or how well the kitchen is equipped or NOT having over 100 steps to the lake like most house at Norris, but it is the 16'x 60' dock! The dock is a a non stop play area with plenty of room to play games, layout, hold large groups and enjoying a cocktail at sunset. And remember to bring the whole family down with blankets for a little star gazing in the evening, remember to turn off the house lights before heading down, you will share with your kids a whole new world by looking up to the heavens.
