About this property

A traditional Olive Mill House renovated to retain original features and provide modern luxury living in the Lustica countryside. With an infinity pool overlooking the Adriatic Coast and Orion Mountains, the villa sits high on the peninsular, affording amazing views and dramatic sunsets.

With sofas and chairs by the pool, there is a cool, shady relaxation area with a outdoor dining area for 10 and a large gas fired BBQ for that outdoor living. "Object 2" is our glass room, with amazing views for those afternoon, cool siestas.

The house has a large open plan kitchen and living room, with kitchen dining and sit-down dining options, with stone and natural flooring throughout. Large sofas surround the fire for those winter evenings.

Over two further floors, there are five bedrooms, three which are ensuite with dressing rooms and two which share a communal bathroom. All are breezy, light and private.

A terrace to the rear allows for shaded seating and an opportunity to enjoy the village life with you picking your own tomatoes for lazy lunches.

Amazing holiday in beautiful villa

We had the most brilliant stay here with family and friends. The Villa is beautifully designed and decorated inside and out, and the pool delivers what it promises in the photos. You definitely need a car to get around, and beware the steep and rocky drive down to parking spaces (gets slippy after heavy rain). We loved the outside eating area and poolside. Local beach Veslo was everyone’s favourite, and Adriatic restaurant in Rose was perfect. We had a bouncy boat trip from Kotor to blue lagoon which was exciting and a treat to swim in the clear tourquoise water as well as heat some history of sites along the way. Bedrooms all bar one have AC which made for comfortable nights sleeping and helped keep hungry mosquitoes at bay! Lovely, friendly neighbour was on hand for support, buying emergency mosquito repellent and tomatoes (!), as well as advising when electric storms caused power cuts. Owner very responsive, welcoming and helpful. Lots of board games were welcome when rains came. I’d recommend this lovely villa for a large family/friends group holiday - we all loved it!

Hi there, welcome to our home. Despite being on the European continent, living in Montenegro is special and very different, so I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We've lived here for upwards of a decade and are proud to call Montenegro home.

Why they chose this property

We bought the Olive Mill House in Djurdjenovici in 2006 when it was little more than a ruin, with no roof, doors or windows. Neglected and collapsed, you could still see the Grand Old Lady had a grandeur and calmness about her. And indeed she has!

We wanted to bring her back to life and retain a sense of the original house, whilst making her fit for modern living; a family home. This is indeed our home and we love it. You'll see straight away that this isn't a "rental", it's our home and we see you as our guests. We want you to feel at home and enjoy the house and what it is to be in, and experience, Montenegro.

What makes this property unique

Home from home, you are remote enough to experience the real, rural Montenegro, as well as close enough to experience the designer side, just around the corner. The natural & authentic Adriatic Mediterranean experience is there, on your door step, along with peace, fresh food and wine. It's there to be enjoyed, savoured and remembered!
