Originally an estate worker’s cottage, built by the Townsend family of nearby Raynham Hall, this beautiful brick and flint end terrace cottage dates back to the 1800s and is packed with charm. Townsend himself is of particular historical importance as he is credited with inventing the four crop rotation system which is still widely used in farming today. The hamlet of Helhoughton,, is quiet and peaceful and surrounded by beautiful Norfolk countryside, it also boasts a historic 14th Century church.
Decorated and furnished by an accomplished interior designer, Willow Cottage is packed with style and character. The cottage boasts original quarry tiles, original pine doors and a sought after Morsø wood burner. The kitchen has hand painted units with granite worksurfaces and retro style appliances. Nature lovers will find Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve close by and Cley Marshes and RSPB Titchwell Marshes in easy reach too. A little further afield you can be at the gateway to the beautiful Norfolk Broads in just 50 minutes where you can join a tour or even charter your own day launch.
