This elegant double fronted village house has been styled with uber relaxing and understated chic interiors. Just the place for anyone looking for a boutique holiday retreat that's a short drive away from North Norfolk's glorious coastline, some fabulous country houses and designer shopping and eating at nearby Burnham Market.
Built in 2015 in a traditional design, Foxhill House sits in the heart of the pretty village of South Creake, with its wide green with little river Burn running through, and population of ducks that, along with their chicks, take their time to cross the village road, simply adding to its charm. Set over two floors, the detached house has an overall luxurious feel with warmth provided by underfloor heating on the ground floor and vertical designer radiators on the first. You will enjoy artworks on the walls and some funky bits and pieces dotted here and there that will make you smile and want to search Pinterest. As you enter the house from the garden, you walk into a very well-equipped attractive L-shaped kitchen that overlooks the garden to one side and the dining area to the other, both areas are divided by an island/breakfast bar - the ideal place to take a seat and plan your day as you savour a morning cup of coffee courtesy of the Lavazza machine. Leaving the dining area, walk across the front hallway to the oh-so-cosy dual aspect sitting room with plump sofas, a generous-sized wood burning stove and french doors facing onto the garden. Upstairs are three beautifully furnished bedrooms (king-size, double and twin room - see Layout for full details) and two top notch smart bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. Outside, Foxhill House benefits from a fully enclosed and private garden that ensures both children and dogs are safely out of harm's way.
Foxhill House is a rather special and romantic hideaway, especially suited to a couple or two but just as lovely for friends to enjoy. Children are welcome too, although no special equipment is provided for tiny tots other than one high chair. Perfectly located for allowing easy access to both coastal and rural North Norfolk, and a perfect place to relax and breathe in some fresh Norfolk air; somewhere to unwind and adopt a slower pace of life. If you are feeling active, there's plenty to do and many wonderful places to go and see. However, if you just want to stay put, there is no nicer place to be.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Pillows and duvets are synthetic. The property is available for a maximum of five adults only plus a child, or four adults two children etc - it is not suitable for six adults. Travel cot and high chair available on request. Please bring your own linen for the travel cot. Please bring you own large pods for the Lavazza coffee machine.

Just what we needed. A beautiful stay in a charming cottage. The photos do not do it justice. Every thing you can wish for, a home from home with everything catered for. It felt like a boutique hotel with all the added comforts. Highly recommend!

Great accommodation but cleanliness needs attention
Great place to stay but was very disappointed with the general lack of cleanliness particularly in covid times. We had problems with the dishwasher (was reported at the time but no one got back to us). Overflowing bins (the previous 2 sets of occupants had missed the bin collection day as did we as it was a little buried in the guide book). The general cleanliness was below what we expected from an accommodation of this standard. The location is however fabulous for exploring all that North Norfolk has to offer.
I would recommend to others but the owner must sort out the cleanliness issue.

A well equipped property in a good location.
The kitchen, dining room & living room were very well equipped and we were short of nothing. The children's games & books for adults were appreciated.
The dishwasher did smell a little musty. Parking for two cars good. Outside space, with table, useful in warm weather.
The double beds were slightly uncomfortable - a little soft & felt narrow.
We were woken early by passing traffic through the village but it was quiet overnight.
Very courteous cleaning staff on our last morning.
Our only real cause for concern was the shower in the ensuite bedroom. The sealant on this was broken, possibly causing the carpet outside the shower room to become wet, in spite of our best care & attention to prevent this happening, when using the shower. Strangely, the shower room floor was dry whereas the carpet was wet. We reported this to Norfolk Hideaways but on the last morning of our stay, there was water dripping through the ceiling below the shower room.
We have not heard from Norfolk Hideaways since our last morning in the property, A courtesy call by way of apology would have been welcomed. In all other respects, they were a very good company.

Lovely hidden gem
Foxhill house met the challenge for our visit well. Plenty of room for four adults and a child with a wonderfully fitted kitchen extremely comfortable beds parking in situ and finding the extra channels on the tv an added bonus for all.
Well placed for north Norfolk visiting. The home was modern and furnished to high standards and had everything required for a family gathering.
We would recommend this hidden gem to anyone who asked we just wished we lived slightly closer to take advantage of the house more often
Well done Norfolk hideaways and foxhill house.

Beautiful Norfolk House
We had a wonderful time staying at Foxhill house. It was clean, spacious and beautiful. Fantastic for a family. The location was great as it was fairly close to lots of other villages and only a short drive to the beach. The only issue with our stay was that the dishwasher didn’t work properly.

Thank you for your feedback following your stay - so pleased to hear you had an enjoyable week.
Sorry to hear about the dishwasher - I can't see that you advised us of this during your stay - we would of course attempted to resolve this for you.
With our very best wishes

Disappointed
It's such a shame that this house is so beautiful internally but in a poor spot being immediately positioned on a busy road with no immediate outlook. Not a tranquil haven for a holiday. It has low levels of natural light too & can feel oppressive. It is well equipped & has very nice touches with comfortable beds & bedding. The area overall is attractive, within easy reach of the Burhams & coast with beautiful countryside too.
It simply didn't feel like a holiday home.
