Central for touring Argyll and known as the ’Gateway to the Isles’, with ferries leaving daily to many of the islands, such as Mull, Iona, Staffa and Lismore. In keeping with its reputation as the seafood capital of Scotland, there are some excellent restaurants, cafés and pubs nearby, in which to relax after a pleasant day out exploring the wonderful scenery and visiting some of the interesting attractions which Argyll has to offer.
