Magnificent estate of old building with 60 acres of private land, located in a privileged area in the heart of Menorca, ideal for enjoying the countryside. It has a nice garden with swimming pool, a sitting area and a covered terrace offering magnificent views over the island's landscape.

The cozy village of Es Mercadal which has good restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets is within walking distance, but the property is also the perfect starting point for visits to the picturesque harbor and gastronomic village of Fornells and the wonderful beaches of Cavalleria and Pregonda on the north coast, or anywhere on the island.

Espectacular Casa Menorquina

Hemos estado 1 semana alojados en la casa. El lugar es increible. Una antigua casa de campo totalmente reformada con mucho gusto. Los espacios son muy amplios y confortables. La casa dispone de todas las comodidades y está totalmente equipada. Los techos son altos por lo que se mantiene fresca en pleno verano. Las habitaciones son perfectas con camas cómodas y lavabo privado. Todas las ventanas tienen mosquiteras.El exterior es espectacular. El porche es fantástico y tiene unas vistas mágicas al monte toro. La piscina es muy grande y ajardinada con tumbonas, árboles y zonas de sombra.La casa está en medio del campo por lo que solo se escucha la naturaleza. Es ideal para desconectar de todo.La ubicación de la casa es inmejorable. Está muy cerca de Es Mercadal , en el puro centro de la isla por lo que la comunicación con cualquier punto de la isla es excelente. Las mejores playas están muy próximas. Los propietarios son muy amables y atentos. Tuvimos una comunicación fluida. Estuvieron pendientes de nosotros en todo momento y nos acogieron de una forma fantástica.Sin duda recomendamos esta preciosa casa menorquina. El mejor alojamiento en el que hemos estado en Menorca.

Excellent séjour à la Finca Barbatx; c'est une très belle ferme, soigneusement décorée, authentique et très agréable, au calme de la campagne. Des hôtes sympathiques, arrangeants et accueillants, merci pour les gentilles attentions à notre arrivée. Nous avons tous beaucoup aimé et reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Simplement parfait!

Sommerurlaub auf Menorca

Wir sind begeistert von unserem Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Bauernhaus mit Schwimmbad, Inder Mitte von Menorca. Es Mercadal ist in Laufnähe. Die vielen Strände und Buchten, sowie mahon nicht weiter als 20 Minuten mit dem Auto.

Très bon accueil par Ramon et son épouse. Maison très agréable pour 8 personnes et très bonne situation à Es Mercadal. Simplement PARFAIT!!!

A beautiful place that we'd highly recommend

We loved our stay here. The house is full of character, comfort and charm and has stunning views of Monte Toro from the terrace. There is so much nature to absorb, and we relaxed watching buzzards and eagles glide across the sky. We advise hiring a car as this really opens up the island. Es Mercadal, the local town, is enchanting and lively with lots of great places to eat. The garden is full of colour with the bougainvillea, and each evening the chickens came by to say hello while we swam in the pool. We ate on the terrace watching sunsets and moon rises that were breathtaking. It's been a very special stay and we would highly recommend the host, who could not have been kinder and more welcoming, the house, and the situation. We hope to come again.

14 wunderschöne Tage in der Finca Barbatx

Wir haben in der 2. Maihälfte einen wunderschönen Urlaub auf Menorca verbracht. Das ist einmal dem schönen Wetter geschuldet, zum anderen der schönen Finca. Sie entsprach genau dem Angebot. Sie hat Alleinlage und ist sehr ruhig. Nachts blökten manchmal Schafe und tagsüber besuchten uns gelegentlich Hühner auf dem Gelände. Hoch über uns kreisten viele rote Milane. Der Pool war toll und die Solardusche sehr praktisch. Wir waren nur zu zweit und hatten überall viel Platz, der auch für mehr Personen gut reicht. Die Finca war sehr sauber und ist mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Die Betten waren allerdings unterschiedlicher Qualität und gewöhnungsbedürftig. Ein Auto für die Beweglichkeit ist unbedingt nötig: dann kann man alle Sehenswürdigkeiten und Strände usw. rasch erreichen. Allerdings bestehen die letzten paar 100 m Anfahrt zur Finca aus einem schmalen Feldweg mit Löchern und spitzen Steinen. Wir haben die Anfahrt mit unserem Mietwagen und langsamer Fahrweise gut bewältigt. Eine Anfahrtbeschreibung wäre allerdings gut gewesen. Wir hatten uns gewaltig verirrt und unsere Vermieter haben lange geduldig auf uns gewartet. Kontakt zu ihnen während der Mietzeit benötigten wir nicht; sie haben aber im Vorfeld freundlich Auskünfte gegeben. Wir würden gerne wieder nach Menorca kommen und sehr gerne in der Finca Barbatx wohnen.

Una estancia de 10

La casa es tal y como se ve en las fotos, puesta con todo detalle y con mucho gusto. Está muy limpia y totalmente equipada, no le falta de nada. Ramón y Eva fueron muy atentos y agradables, tanto antes como a nuestra llegada, haciéndonos las cosas sencillas. La casa está muy cerquita de Es Mercadal, en el centro de la isla, donde encuentras todos los servicios básicos (panadería, supermercado, carnicería, bares, cajero...) y un ambiente de pueblo que nos ha encantado. En todo caso es necesario el coche para acercarse al pueblo porque la casa se encuentra en mitad del campo, donde por la noche sólo se oye el silencio y se ven todas las estrellas, una paz y una tranquilidad maravillosas. En relación a otros puntos de la isla está muy bien ubicada, casi a la misma distancia de Mahón que de Ciudadella, de las playas del norte que de las del sur. En resumen, para repetir, muy recomendable.

Inmejorable ubicación

La ubicación de la casa en el centro de la isla permite visitar muchos rincones sin tener que realizar grandes desplazamientos y poder descansar en un lugar muy tranquilo. La casa es tal y como aparece en las fotos, incluso mejor.

Prachtige oude verbouwde boerderij in een nog mooiere omgeving.

Mooie oude boerderij, midden in de vrije natuur met kippen, duiven, heel veel vogels en weids uitzicht. Speciaal voor de kinderen was er een parasol gekocht en speel goed voor op het strand. Heel hartelijke ontvangst en zelf was er wat te eten en te drinken voor de volgende ochtend. Mercadal is een mooi oud stadje met goede restaurants. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug op deze heerlijke locatie.

Schönes Haus, leider ist das Dach nicht dicht

Das Haus ist nett und grosszügig eingerichtet. Die Geräte funktionieren. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen, schönen Gegend. Der Zufahrtsweg zum Haus ist schlecht, ein Naturpfad mit unzähligen Löchern. Man muss sehr vorsichtig fahren, um nicht stecken zu bleiben. Während unseres siebentägigen Aufenthaltes hat es zweimal geregnet. Das Dach des Hauses ist nicht dicht. Wir hatten in 2 Zimmern einen grossen Wassereinbruch. Margrit, Schweiz

Great house and hospitality

We stayed for a week in July 2018. The house is not glitzy but it does have a lot of charm and Ian in a very secluded setting with a beautiful garden and pool. The owners were extremely hospitable and helpful, even meeting us at the airport at 10pm to hand over the key We would definitely stay here again!
