Quiet, Private Muskoka Charm - Lake Front with Pool – Sleeps 8-10

Charming renovated ‘40s house close to Algonquin Park, Limberlost Reserve, and Huntsville. Downward sloping walk to the private waterfront with dock as well as a swimming pool right beside the house! This well-maintained house features a beautiful kitchen, a screened-in dining room that seats 8 people, and a beautiful yard surrounded by gardens. Firepit with Muskoka chairs, gazebo, fish pond, and swing set make it the perfect family spot.

There is excellent fishing on beautiful, pristine Walker Lake, and lots of wildlife viewings right out the windows. The house was originally owned by the Walkers for whom the lake is named. The house is very easy to find and about a 2.5 hour drive from Toronto. Distance to Algonquin Park is 30 minutes. Enjoy wings at Muskoka On the Rocks, or something a little fancier at the Norseman Lodge – both less than five minutes away.

There are four bedrooms in total: The master bedroom on the main floor has a queen size bed, the 2nd bedroom on the main floor and one of the bedrooms upstairs both have double beds. The other bedroom upstairs has two twin beds. The couch in the living room can be turned into a double bed as well, so the whole house can easily sleep 8-10 people. The main floor bathroom is a 4 pc with hot tub and the upstairs bathroom is 2 pc.

Enjoy the quiet, charming neighbourhood either as your only destination or as a welcome place to come home after a day of exploring Muskoka’s natural wonders.

Charming home

Our stay was very nice quality family time. A few th I vs that did not work for us was the entrance into the pool . We are larger adults and it was not too safe . I spoke to the owner and he says that he will check out so.ething different. The fellas did some fishing and had pretty good success lake trout and a nice rainbow as well as many smallmouth bass. The house came with everything so.eone could want and beautiful wildflowers to go with it. We did the boat cruise out of Deer Hurst resort it waz a fun one hour cruise. Anyone looking for a great place to eat out 3 Guys and a Stove is a bbq place it was fabulous. If you wnt ice cream The Kawartha dairy is delicious. It was a very nice week.

Really nice place

Amazing Cottage and Lake!

First off Joey was an amazing host who was very courteous and sorted out everything we needed! The Cottage itself was amazing and very homely, it's very clear that a lot of care and attention has been put into this place. The pictures also don't do justice to how large the cottage and the property is - especially the yard and firepit. The lake is amazing and kayaking and swimming around it was great! As for the location the proximity to the lake is amazing and it is only a short 10 minute drive to Huntsville for everything you could possibly need.

Perfect cottage getaway

This cottage had plenty of amenities and was also child friendly. A huge tv with a complete surround sound entertainment system, gas stove and barbecue setup, and not to mention the private dock. The pool was in great condition as well. My friends and their children had a wonderful time.

Cozy Cottage Family Fun

My family of 4 stayed here for a week in July 2019 (girls aged 6 and 12) and were very comfortable. The cottage is nestled into the woods surrounded by wildflower gardens, a koi pond, fire pit and has an above ground pool which was a super hit with all of our family members. Walker Lake was a short walk away to the private dock for swimming and fishing. Location was awesome as it’s a short drive to Huntsville, Algonquin Park and Limberloft trails are just up the road. This location has all the amenities you’ll need from bedroom linens, bath/pool towels, kitchenware, games and puzzles, flatscreen w DVDs, etc, etc. Joey was a great host and quick to answer all of our questions. I would recommend this cottage to folks looking for an easy going, relaxed cottage experience getaway. Thanks for the great stay!

Wonderful cottage with an amazing location.

Joey is a fantastic host, always responded to my questions in a timely matter. The cottage was clean, very comfortable and was equipped with everything we needed. Great Smallmouth bass fishing right off the dock. Located just outside of Huntsville and not far from Algonquin Provincial Park. The pool was a great bonus and enjoyed by everyone. The family and I had a fabulous week and highly recommend it.
