Property was very clean when we arrived. Check-in was smooth. The host is very responsive and assisted promptly with the one very minor issue we had on entry. The kitchen is very well-equipped. We routinely cooked for the six of us staying there. It's on a septic system, so we bought drinking water. It is pet friendly.
Location is beautiful. Having dinner on the boarhouse deck with the setting sun was amazing. The stars at night! Very comfortable rooms with a great kitchen space. Great property. Wonderful weekend getaway.
Beautiful property Wonderful access to Lake of Bays. We had a great stay with perfect weather. The cottage was great. We had plenty of room and it stayed cool in the heat!We loved the boat house and spent lots of time by the water!
Overall a great place to stay and unwind! Waterfront access for kayak and rooftop patio is the best feature with beautiful views of the lush trees and lake. Some updates needed inside but overall comfortable and have amenities around.
A very relaxing cottage getaway. Great swimming and peaceful surroundings. Loved the covered deck. The kitchen was well equipped and the cottage was spacious and comfortable. No one wanted to leave.

This property was priced at a figure for a 4* property. The bedrooms bathrooms and living areas were clean well appointed, well equipped and extremely attractive to our group of 4 adults & 2 teens Unfortunately we had several issues. The boathouse containing 2 kayaks was locked and the owner said ‘“it isn’t locked”. It was from the inside. My niece swam under the door and unlocked it from the inside. We brought 3 meals to bbq. Went to start it and it was filthy and the attached tank was empty, as was the spare next to it. Called the owner, who disputed the filthy description by saying “it is only a year old”. Not a relevant comment. Then said there was a new tank in the garage. Turned out to be an extra large tank which we then had to carry from the garage down several stairs a round to the bbq. We dismantled the truly dirtiest tank I have seen in my life, and installed the new one. We then set the grill to clean for 15 minutes in order to use it. There was clean wet laundry, sheet sets in the dryer when we went to use it. The Muskoka chair on the dock was broken and the entire outside of the property was covered with bits of debris and the boathouse dock and exterior full of spider webs. There was a section of railing missing entirely on the boathouse roof deck. Lethal if you had children. This place could be a Great Rental. I think the owners may be inexperienced and/ir do not have a property manager. The location is ideal but I would not rent again
This was such a beautiful stay. The rooms were so cozy, the cottage was so spacious and they had everything you needed. The only thing you should know is the kitchen is downstairs so if you do have knee issues, that may be something to be aware of however - everything was STUNNING and I would absolutely re-book again! (I hope so soon)
We had a fabulous time. It was exactly what we needed for a break before back to school. The home was impeccably clean and fully equipped with everything you would need. Great Lake view, quiet cove on the lake. We kayaked in the mornings out to the bigger part of the lake it was perfect. Clean, family friendly, pet friendly which was perfect so we could bring our little Havanese with us. The water is very deep off the boat house so our girls wore lifejackets to jump in despite being strong swimmers! Great spot for a family or group of friends to gather. The place had large fans in each closet and lots of pillows. Only issue we noticed was that glass was missing from one section of the railing on the boat house. Lots of books and magazines to read a few games, we brought lots of games and had a great time.
The location and layout of house is great, it’s a beautiful setting and very comfortable. It’s very well appointed in things like furniture, linen, plates, bakeware etc, and also has two kayaks which we really enjoyed which aren’t mentioned in the property listing. However it also slightly lacking in other areas which we would have expected for this price bracket - no hairdryer, only two wine glasses which were “complementary”, no salt/pepper/oil/etc, no mosquito coils and so on which we’ve experienced with other places rented. Not a big deal but the little things that make a house more personal or homely weren’t really there. Nonetheless we’d would still recommend it, just bring absolutely everything you need. Would recommend Robinson’s in Dorset and the general store in Dwight, both excellent and not too far away for stocking up.
